We booked this just a couple of days before and on the day Van (the chef) came to pick us up from our hotel in a mini van. After picking everyone up (12 people) we went to the central market to buy our cooking ingredients! Once we were at the market Van asked us what we wanted to cook (she... More

My husband and I did this cooking course yesterday in a group of 10. We've done many cooking activities before but this one was different because you focus on a dish that you particularly want to learn to cook. Before the day you are given a huge selection of dishes to choose from. Everyone has a different dish so you... More

I always knew when I visited Vietnam I wanted to do a cooking class. I have a severe peanut allergy and I did a fair bit of research before booking. Green Bamboo is highly rated already and I can fully appreciate why. I booked two days in advance over e-mail. Van arranged to have us all picked and we met... More

This was one of the best thing we did in Hoi An. We left early morning going straight to the market for buying fresh ingredients for our chosen meal, Van (the teacher/chef/host) she's absolutely wonderful... Telling us everything we needed to know about the food and the meals we were going to prepare. Little coffee break and then straight into... More

This was one of the highlights of a 3 week trip. We worried that a group of 12 would be too many, and that it was too long a day, but we were pleasantly surprised and I actually thought having more people made for a bit more of an atmosphere. Van was amazing, I have no idea how she does... More

In the morning we went to the local market to buy the ingredients for our previously chosen dishes. The special thing about this class: we were 13 participants and everybody had a different dish. So after one finishes his dish, everybody gets to taste it - a 13 course menu. In a very enthusiastic and passionate way Van taught us... More

The day started with a trip around the local markets in Hoi An, our guide and teacher, Van, was awesome. She knew everything about the menu she had created for us to choose from and had an in depth understanding of why the flavours worked. She guided us between the maze of market stalls from sea food to meat to... More

I wrote to several places and Van was only one who replayed to me, and it was far best thing to happen. It was one of our highlights in Vietnam. The way she teaches is really freindly and educating and also you never forget those delights she teaches to cook. We prepared 12 different meals with other people from France... More

We are pleased we did this, as Van is such a great teacher. She is obviously very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about food, and she has a sense of humour which made the session fun. Her helpers need a special mention too - they worked quietly in the background, washing the ingredients and clearing away used plates etc., while always ready... More

Absolutely amazing day out! Trip to the market to buy the ingredients followed by amazingly tasty food. She is an amazing lady who really knows her stuff and she give you beer at no additional cost too 😀😀 Could not recommend this experience highly enough. Great value for money. Eat a very light breakfast before doing it as you will... More
