After sampling all of the amazing Vietnamese cuisine on holiday, I knew that I had to be able to recreate everything at home! Van is an excellent chef and teacher. We started the day with an interesting and educational trip to the local market to buy all of our fresh ingredients for the day. I love that everything about this... More

This cooking school is a "must do" in Hoi An. Van was great to deal with and very accommodating - even responding to emails at 11.00pm! The day starts with a trip to the market which is an education in itself. Van knows the market like the back of her hand and is clearly well liked by the vendors she... More

I was lucky enough to be a part of this cooking class hosted by Van. She truly is an excellent guide and cook. The market tour gave great insight into local foods. The cooking class is then held at Vans home. Everything is extremely organised, Van teaches everything from how to cut meat, make sauces and cook meals. Everyone shares... More

It really was a unique experience! Van is a wonderful host. We had a nice group of 13 people and we were laughing all the time. We each chose the dish we wanted to prepare. Being a vegetarian I was well catered for. There is a very wide selection of dishes. The trip to the market was also an interesting... More

We've just got back from our excellent day at Green Bamboo. Firstly Van is a fantastic host and skilled chef, feel like we learned lots but we're laughing and smiling all day. This was our last full day in Vietnam and we're so happy we're ending on such a high

Green Bamboo cooking school is work every cent! My day started with 12 other people meeting Van, our lovely host and fabulous cook, wandering through the Central Markets purchasing the meat, fish, seafood, herbs and spices we would be needing for the day. We then went to Vans home and spent the next 4-5 hours cooking and eating. Lots of... More

This was a great way to kick start my holiday in Vietnam. Van's cooking class lasts for a full day. There is an extensive choice of dishes to learn. You get to sample what other partcipants are cooking. Van is excellent teacher and really makes the whole experience fun. If you are thinking of trying a cooking class this is... More

We had a brilliant day with Van, and learned a huge amount in a short period of time. This is a real hands-on experience where you make everything from scratch, and eat it as you go. And with Van's excellent guidance, it all worked out perfectly, regardless of the various cooks' level of experience. It was quite possibly the best... More

We had a really enjoyable time with Van at her cookery school. The day included a brilliant and insightful trip to the market (where you buy all the ingredients for your cooking), coffee and then the cooking with the group. You pick your dish beforehand to cook, however you make your meal for the group so you will not go... More

We attended the Green Bamboo cooking class led by Van. It was a memorable experience. Van catered for my allergy to seafood and my friend's allergy to nuts as well as another guest's need for gluten free. We all picked out a course which we cooked so the total was 12 courses. First there was a visit to the local... More
