I didn't expect much from the theatre (if this is the one at 10.15 am - I didn't go to the other theatre which is at 6.30 pm) but ot was very entertaining, featuring traditional music and dance, a 'Vietnamese Bingo' audience-participation game and a rendition of Auld Lang Syne to finish off.

We were so pleased that we managed the time to see this performance. The singing and music was lovely, and the dancing was interesting. The theatre is small so buy your tickets and go in a little early to get good seats. All seats have clear views, are comfortable and it is air-conditioned. Performance only goes for about 45 minutes,... More

The Traditional Theater in Hoi An is unlike other theaters. For one, the theater is relatively small and the viewer is able to look at the performers from fairly close quarters. This enables the viewer to discern the various movements of the performers quite closely and see for himself the intricate hand movements, the details of the costumes, the details... More

If you want to do something cultural this is it. Not my sort of thing really but we just happened to be passing at the right time and had a look. It was okay and if you like that sort of performance, you would probably really enjoy it.

The music and dance were beautiful. Some unusual musical instruments are used by the Vietnamese. This is certainly worth a look in.

After being underwhelmed by dodgy people and venues this was fantastic. Obtained tickets from booth in front and entered 20 minutes early. Do this to get a good set. Absolutely loved the show and hopefully I was watching traditional Vietnamese. Great music and dancing and a previous reviewer mentioned screaming but it wasn't that bad. It was just an interpretation... More

Traditional music. Most of the 40mins is very good. One item though was like listening to someone crying, possibly because I couldn't understand the words she was 'singing'. I was a little disappointed to see an all traditional Vietnamese band infiltrated by bass guitar though. Two soloists on traditional string instruments were excellent. English translation is provided between items so... More

There is 2 performances at this theatre, one in the morning at 1015/ 10:30am and the other at 5:30pm. We went there to purchase our tickets to be told that tickets were not available on site and please purchase it at the booth around the corner - I thought that ridiculous. The ticket of 100,000VND would allow you entrance to... More
