We just happened to be passing this little theatre and mask workshop late Sunday afternoon then noticed the sign: "daily performance at 17:00". For 100,000 VND each (5$ US) we thought we'd give it a try and we were delighted with the show. We had songs, dance, and the most amazing range of sounds from very basic musical instruments. Don't... Worth watching this as part of the 5 attractions you can choose using the Hoi An entrance ticket. I particularly enjoyed the traditional dances and sorrowfully sweet sounds produced with the Vietnamese violin.

Always expect the unexpected and I was pleasantly surprised. It was my first time with the Vietnamese performance. Didn't run to the length of time I was expecting. But what I did see was very clever and intriguing. Tip : book early , arrive early

Didn't see the complimentary show, but paid VND100K for the 5.30 show. There were more performers than audience. It was enjoyable, a little kitch, performers amused themselves as well as us. Don't take this too seriously or expect some high level professionalism. Good to see the different instruments. With the show only being about 45min, there is time to go... More

The 20min complimentary show in the traditional theater is excellent! However never buy ticket for the “special show” at 5:30pm located at the performance house of traditional arts!! First, they told us the show is 1 hour it turned out only 30min. Secondly, the show almost 80% the same as complimentary one. Thirdly, the carpet n the seats are very... More

The seating is not comfortable but I loved the performance and the audience was encouraged to participate. There were a number of short performances to cater for a variety of tastes.

We were 4 of 7 in the audience when we went - there were more performers. Kids liked the show, and we thought it was interesting to see and hear some of the Vietnamese culture. It seems like it needs quite a bit of a facelift though. Was only about a 45 minute show, but I wouldn't have wanted more... More

The theatre is set in an old wooden building and relatively small. We dropped there in the morning and enjoyed a short performances of traditional dances and music.. There was also a Vietnamese Bingo game with participation of the audience.. where to my surprise, I won a small prise..

The show was a good mix of song and dance, not too long and not too complicated. Amazing sounds (amplifier assisted) from such simple instruments. Dances were basic and graceful.
