Our teacher, Ha, was very funny and really enthusiastic about her job, everything was done with a lot of care and humor. The food was delicious and very filling! It was nice to experience a private tour as well, as it was just the two of us and Ha, much better than doing it in a large group as you... More

Our guide took us here for lunch. We didn't know what to expect. Our daughters aged 9 & 7 tried everything. We loved it all. Especially the green papaya salad on crispy rice paper, butter shrimp, fried spring rolls, chicken something? All delicious super fresh ingredients sourced from surrounding market gardens. Very friendly service. Highly recommend this place. Cost us... More

We were interested to see farming but learned little about local farming really as it was set up to 'humour' tourists and we found it silly. They did a little cooking class which was fun

This was by far our favourite experience in Hoi An! Sung and her family are definitely some of the nicest and funniest people we have met in Vietnam! The cooking class with the trip to the market and the tour across the vegetable fields was so much fun and very informative!! We learned a lot about farming and the plants... More

Such a great experience! Our teacher was so warm and full of enthusiasm, I felt like we had made a good friend by the end of the class. It was also a really beautiful setting at the farm, and really interesting to learn about all the crops and ingredients.

Our guide/instructor was Shung (sorry I suspect I’m spelling it wrong!) and she was fantastic. She met us at our hotel and all three of us cycled to the food market in Hoi An. She took us around the market explaining all sorts of things about the food on offer. Unfortunately, my partner had not been well the previous day... More

My wife and I have just returned from our cooking class at Tra Que Water Wheel cooking school. It was fantastic! We were picked up from our hotel but riding a bike was an option also. Sadly my wife wasn't confident enough. Just as well though as there was a bit of road work and the roads are very busy... More

We booked this trip entirely based on TripAdvisor reviews as it's not a tour that was offered by our hotel. We spent 10 days in Vietnam and when reminiscing, we always struggle to choose our favourite trip but this always comes up as the number one contender and we did a lot! 'Ha' picked us up from the hotel and... More

We met our guide at markets in Hoi An, chose our fresh fruit, veg, meat & seafood, then rode bicycles to Tra Que. A Delicious mint tea welcome drink was followed by a ride on a water buffalo, out on the river in their unique round fishing boats, lessons in making rice paper rolls (delicious & so fresh), planting herbs... We had planned a cooking class as part of our mini moon post wedding in Hoi An but unfortunately my husband had over indulged over the past week or so and wasn't able to join. Jessica from the Water Wheel picked me up from my accommodation and we cycled over to the local market, a fairly small (but very busy!)... More
