Cute to take photos of and great stories behind it but no big deal. The walls are interesting in that they are so very thick

In olden ties it is the only gate to enter the city via the wooden drawbridge. The gate was reconstructed but part of te old walls was original. It is right in the centre of the old town. Interesting but spend less than 1 hour...More

The entrance to the old fortified citadel occupied in history by the Portuguese and Spanish dependant on the date and winner of the battle. All that remains of the fortifications, otherwise torn down and used in various reconstruction.

The door/ gate to the city is an awesome entrance to the old town. Part of the original wall circling the town still stands with a cannon on top near the gate.

It's a really nice walk around Ciudadela. The gate in the entrance is the beginning of a walking tour in the old part of the city. Where you can visit all this part really nice of the city.

This is the entrance to the old city and is just for a photo stop. What is more interesting in within the city. Don't have to spend much time here.

From a historical perspective it's interesting. At least I thought so. It's not impressing, but collectively with some of the other "digs" it provides a story of Spain in South America. For many it will just be a gate that's older than they are, missing...More

This is pretty and to get in and out of the old city it's pretty. You can get out of the area without using this gate.
