Reconstructed Cossack village with a variety of structures and crafts. Also the site of the display of Cossack horsemanship skills. Well worth a visit, especially with the show included. Some quality souvenirs also on sale here.

This is a reconstructed sietch, often called a "Cossack village" though a sietch was as much a border fort as a village. It was inhabited by Cossack fighting men, their needs serviced from the local population while their families were at home back in the...More

Visited as part of river cruise itinerary this open air Cossack fort consisting a dozen buildings and a church. Spent about an hour at the location which was about right. Entrance fee reasonably priced.

Open air museum which looks like a living space, in fact, it is a living space. The history itself is a master of it and it does live here! A mysterious aura of Kossak legends and heroic deeds... Highly recommended to be visited in summer!

Established traditional cuisine restaurant with amazing bandura (zither+lute combination) duo. Extreme swimming and fishing in warm season, hiking and cycling,...More

This is an interesting view into the life in Cossack fort, it is a quite small place but still absolutely worth the visit, you also have a good view of the river towards the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station.

Nice place to come and feel how people leave here hundreds years ago. Authentic houses. Also there is a small restoraunt at the site.

This is a miniature reconstruction of a traditional Cossack fort and was most interesting to visit. The highlight was a splendid Cossack show both of foot and on horseback. Their riding skills are amazing.

Zaporiz'ka Sich is a reconstruction of an indipendent military settlement (15th-16th centuries) of Ukrainian cossacks - people who fled from serfdom/bondage to uninhabited territories and created such settlements with their own laws and customs. There are several expositions on the territory dedicated to ways of...More
