Saw some reviews saying this wasn’t worth going to but I’d have to disagree, the water was crystal clear and the Scenery was absolutely unreal. Also
When entering the island there’s a entry fee which is 300 lira per person.

Me and my boyfriend visited Sedir island (Cleopatra island) in September. The weather was still very hot and we took a tour from Marmaris which took about 45 minutes total travel.

Entering the island requires a payment of 120 lira per person and was payable to our tour provider who gave us a ticket. We only visited for 2 hours but wish we could of stayed longer.

The water is very clean and clear. The mystical sand is not allowed to be walked on and is sectioned off with rocks and a rope. The sunbeds on the beach are wooden and not very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed the visit and it was the best beach we’ve visited.

interesting island with lots of historical attractions

Cleopatra beach :
Outstanding beach and According to the legend, Cleopatra and Antonius used to swim here and the sands have been brought by the ships from North Africa. It’s been said that this type of the sand can only be seen in Egypt. For that reason it is forbidden to get and carry sand from the beach .

Appollon Kutsal Alani
A historical place , interesting and worth a visit .Place is full of ancient stones , columns and much more .The view from top overlooking the beach is breathtaking

Tiyatro agora :
Absolutely amazing, a ancient theater with huge capacity , interesting the way how is built.

Kistac church:
Great location overlooking the beach , only left ancient rock and columns

A must visit island if you planning to visit Marmaris and to enjoy a day by the beach under the sun , water is so clean and clear .
Highly recommended

I took a boat from Camli village to Sedir İsland and paid 20 Turkish liras for two way. They let only 300 ppl to get in at the same time coz of covid-19 which is very nice due to this rule the İsland was very quite. Entrance fee is 50 Turkish liras and sunbed is free. If you have a museum card the entrance is free by the way you can get the card in the ticket office which is also very useful. The Sandy beach was fab and sea as well, I enjoyed a lot and wanna visit again and again 🙃

The sea here is a beautiful colour, but is very crowded. There are sun loungers to sit on with quite a lot of shade under the palm trees. Unfortunately the ground all around them was scattered with cigarette butts which was rather unpleasant.
We walked up to the amphitheatre which is about 5 - 10 minutes walk away. It was worth it as it was quite well preserved, peaceful and with stunning views.

It costs 36 Turkish Lira to visit the Island which offers a lovely beach and a short walk albeit uphill to an amphitheatre which is well worth the walk. Great views from the top. Wear sensible shoes and take care as the boardwalk is deteriorating in places. There are also ruins of a church. Refreshments are available as are toilets. Much better to visit first thing in the morning before the tour boats arrive.

Very nice beach and archaeological place. The trip was good, the food not so much but we were hungry so it is ok.
