Not a real trail, but rather a hastily made up one that is barely taken care of...
A mix of goat and wild boar path, an approximate maze between stone and rocks barred by bushes, sometime over signaled every 2 meters and sometime not at all for 2 kilometers or more.... definitely not the Lycean Way you would expect it to be. A shame on the Ministry of Turism and all the people that make revenues from hikers without caring to maintain or better yet, make this trail a decent one.

Now on the positive side, Turkish people are kind, helpful and welcoming. The historical artifacts on the way are often spectacular, and many places and villages are stunning.

I walked for 2 hr starting off from the hill going down to OluDeniz. The views were outstanding and breathtaking. Its not a hard walk but there are lots of stones. Bring walking shoes is my advice especially for those of us who have flat feet.

Yesterday I just finished trekking the all Lycian Way Trail. We did that with my friend. We started at Oludeniz beach and finished at Geyikbayiri.
We hiked 23 days. It was a great time with a beautiful Turkish nature (mountains, Mediterranean Sea), and history. The other story is a Turkish People. They are so great. We got a lot of help from them almost every day and night. We felt safe 24 hours a day. Great weather and I think the best time of the year to do that. Turkey is a still cheap country to travel with delicious food. For all those days we met only two other true hikers. One was from Russia and other one from Denmark.

...is what you'll get if you jump onto 'the Lycean Way'! We jumped on the trail* at the east end of Fetihye bay and walked up the road for about 1/2 hour, then curled onto a dirt road/wide hiking path and started seeing: big pines, small tortoises and fresh air.
A while later (2 hours?) we made it to the quaint village of Karakoy where we saw: the famed ruins, nice little cafes & restaurants, and ostriches!!
Hiking up and over the ruins invited us onto 'the Lycean Way' proper and that's where it got really nice! From here you start to get those postcard photos...plus a glorious hiking trail. Beware the trail isn't always clearly marked as you pass over the hill and down into Olunediz, but if you're aware (i.e. NOT fully distracted by those beauty views!) you'll be okay.
Highly recommended for those who enjoy 4+ hour hikes.
*NOTE: There is some debate where exactly the official "way" starts, but regardless this is a very nice walk with a great reward at the end!

It is a beautiful hiking trail. We have only hiked a small portion of it - 7 km on our first route (to a picturesque waterfall) and then 2 km to the Paradise beach (where we swam and sunbathed and from where a boat picked us up and transported us back to Kabak beach).
It is a challenging trail. You need to make sure that you have the right trekking shoes as certain parts are really-really difficult. But it's definitely worth it!

It was amazing journey. We started from Goynuk canyon, stay one night Mount Tahtali, saw Chimaera and finished in small village Cirali. The distance was 97 km. if I say that the journey was great , it means say nothing) if you have a chance to backpack, please, don’t hesitate)

There are many routes that you can do. In general, the place is nice and you get to have many beutiful views. Also, the trail is not so difficult.
The bad thing is that there is a lot of garbage everywhere.

Easy route with stunning views. Elevation is just 600 m., so if you can walk 20 km on foot you wont have much problems with this trail. Try to start as early as you can, if you have a suspicion that physical exersize combined with +40 heat may be not your piece of cake. About 2 liters of water is enough to last you between wells, but try not to step on bees there, unless it feels too easy and you want to add intoxication to the list of your problems, just fill you bottle politely and leave.
