A short walk from the Mevlana museum and really contrasts how different the two were. Small, peaceful and plain....we almost missed the spot twice while looking for it.

As the customs, please visit this tomb first, pay respect to the Spiritual Master of the Mevlana. Peaceful place for prayers/meditations.

This is the mausoleum of Sems tebrizi the teacher of Moulana Rumi. After paying your respects you can take a short walk from here to the mausoleum of Moulana Rumi. Lots of shops around selling gift items relating the 2 mausoleums.

After going to Rumi's museum and learning about him, I came to Sems, who is Rumi's teacher. It is nothing significant but you might as well come. It is a small mosque in a park and it is free. Beware the begging children outside.

❤️Shams of Tabrez❤️ His place is just like him; A mystry that never cared for this world to unravel before. While Mevlana's shrine still draws crowds, Shams RA's (said) place is aloof and self assured in its own way. Perfect if you really want to...More

If you appreciate Sufism then most definitely this place is worth visiting. Spend a few minutes in the mosque and feel a very calm and spiritual energy making your holiday different from the other usual holidays.
