An interesting area offering access to the Bay and adjacent upscale restaurant row. Popular with visitors and locals alike. The main street between the Alsancak and restaurant row unfortunately is quite busy with traffic (pedestrians beware).

Izmir city's sleepless part in fun. You can take a beer nad lay down to the green fields nearby the sea, watching sunset. Ask for nigthy foods to locals.Lots of cafe's and bars, mixture of high quality to hippy style all in one place.

It is a part of Izmir that everyone should visit. I was here last January and during the day it snowed, a very rare phenomenon in the city. The people were happy, enjoying even the cold weather.
