The theatre in Pergamon is a fantastic engineering marvel. Set against the slope of the hill, can you imagine if you were one of the 10,000 audience? The drop is about 54 degrees and considering that the entire Acropolis is 300 metres in the air,...More

Remains of an ancient theater that has been preserved in very good condition. The acoustics still work in this ancient site.

It was raining and not many peoples in the ruins. The theater locates on the steep cliff looking down to the town of Bergama. The view tells me the encient time of Bergama once it was a great town.

If you suffer from vertigo this may prove a daunting visit. The views are amazing and the 15 Tl (Rtd) to get the ski lift up to the site is well worth it. A highly recommended site

This is probably one of the best ancient city I'd visited during my trip in Turkey, the theater on a steep hillside is really breathtaking and I'm pretty sure you won't be able to find such theater else where in the world.
