Very old castle was under constraction for a few years, now open to visiters. New caves and corridors are brought out and decorated. Visit if you have an extra two hours.

The castle was closed during my last visit and this time I had the chance to visit it. It has a museum inside where you can learn about the Turkish War of Independence. You are not allowed to go beyond the museum.

The Castle museum is an interesting bit of history of Gaziantep and the area. Great views of the city, the main castle appears to be under renovations.

The Castle is probably the most recognizable landmark in the city of Gaziantep. You can currently enter in for free but there is only a very small part of it accessible to the public. This part is loaded propaganda that shares a "mostly true" account...More
