This church is a little hard to get to--it's maybe a mile or so down the Zemi Valley trail, but the signage is very clear. You won't get any closer to Byzantine frescoes than this. They're more faded than the ones in the Dark Church,...More

A long walk from the main road, and the valley countryside is much more interesting than the church. Not worth the 5 lira entrance fee for a five minute visit, any church in the open air museums or valleys offers just as much.

It was the most disappointing visit of our tour of turkey. We had to make a long walk and pay ticket just to see an empty room with a few pictures.

We walked in to see this church which is a fair distance from the road only to find it shut and it appears as though it has been for awhile.

Not the best, but definitely worth going to. And there are guard dogs, how cute is that? Very. The paintings on the inside are a but lost, but it is really nice.
