The Cafe is providing hot and cold drinks. Eat something before heading to the museum in winter. Buy a detailed Cappodocia guide if you wish to visit the churches. The locals are at best hazy about locations.

We were amazed by this tour. When we saw churches that were built thousands of years back still standing, it was such a great feeling. Our guide was kind enough to explain the history about each church that we went to. We took lots of photos too. This should be on your tour itinerary guys! And make sure you have... More

If you are in goreme for a long stay and have nothing better to do maybe you can go there for an hour or so but there is nothing absolutely great about this museum.

Definately recommend to visit. It is a very interesting place showing history of religion and churches. Amazingly carved in the stone and painted.

It is close to Goreme, so if you have time you should go. If you have short time, choose the Green Tour and , of course, the Hot Air balloon.

I went for the amazing views moreso than the churches, and I was not disappointed!! Surreal and magnificent, with snow in places. Perfect for your first day in Cappadocia if you can't make a guided tour. If you are interested in Christian history as well, then this is a must-see.

We really loved learning about all of the cave churches from our guide! The art work was beautiful inside the caves. This is a must see if you are in Cappadocia!

The Open Air museum is worth a visit if you're only in town for a short while. On the way to the museum from the town centre you pass pretty much the exact same thing on the side of the road for free. The museum does however has labels, and a chapel. You aren't allowed to take photographs, and there... More
