This complex located within a park in the city center was constructed by Sultan Murat II between 1424 and 1426 and was composed of a mosque, theology school, hamam and 12 tombs.

A very impressive mosque with numerous nooks and crannies. Although called the green mosque the tiles have a more bluish colour. The other colour used is cream. The tiles are magnificent, trumped only possibly by those in the princes' circumcision room at the Topkapi palace.

30-45 minutes is enough to explore this small, but interesting place. Every tomb has unique decoration. Must see for those, who is interested in Ottoman History.

One has to be there to know what it means to stand in front of the great rulers of Ottoman. Also the architect is amazingly almost unreal !

Historical places of bursa. Alot of mosgue medrese and you coul take a panaromic bursa photos. There are alot of hotel and natural hot water complex around there.

Only the mosque was open but it is still worth while to visit. I have seen quite a few mosques but never similar to this one. The fact that I was the only visitor made it extra special.
