This wonderful place has to be seen to be believed. Crystal clear water to swim in, history and ancient ruins and sensational places to eat. The view from the ramparts of the 13th century castle overlooking the tiny village of Kalekoy is breathtaking. There are hidden coves to bathe in peace and tranquillity all around. Do not miss this magical... More

This was our first trip out on a boat and I really don’t know why we waited so long. We booked the trip from one of several places in Kalkan that organises these trips, £22, though we did see it advertised cheaper. We were collected from our hotel by a very luxurious minibus and taken over to join the boat.... More

So beautiful and serene. Going through on a boat was fantastic. Highly recommend an overnight trip, to leisurely explore. The Sunken City is fascinating! And although that you can't swim in most of it, there is still an old port that you can swim in, which is protected from the wind quite well. Would highly recommend.

We loved Kekova. We rented a boat in town and crossed out to Kalekoy to see the Castle and tombs then over to Kekova to see the sunken city, really spectacular. The boat had windows in the bottom so you could see the walls and even the amphoras and plates on the seafloor below. Then a dip in the ocean... More

Absolutely lovely experience, a day on a boat drifting along the coast line and indulging in some history and archaeology. The history of the area is inspiring, a chance to wonder at the architecture of these historic periods and the lives that were lived in such remote places. Visiting Simena gave one a glimpse at the realities of life, with... More

Those who love boat tours should definately visit Kekova! The boat passes by the sunken city, very impressive to see! The water is so blue you can easily see a few meters deep. The boat passes by lots of nature and ruins.

Kekova is a natural historical bay. There's is a SUNKEN city from Lykia. Lykia city was sunk around 3000 years ago with a earthquake. You can see the walls, stairs, tombs, buildings under sea and around the bay. There are also many excellent bays to swim around the Kekova. Uçağız village is the small town to rent a boat and... We visited the island in June. The water was lovely and warm but it was a shame that there was litter in the sea.

Booked our trip through Barbarossa hotel reception and we were picked up by bus and taken to the boat. For about £20 we had a full day cruising around stopping four times for swimming including a stop for a lovely BBQ lunch. Taken to see the sunken city and a stop over at a small village for a little retail... More

Great remnants of the past history and well worth a look, as part of a boat trip. Swimming around the site is not allowed so do not get your hopes up if, like me, you hope to snorkel around to see the ancient submerged city, just beneath the crystal clear waters.
