A visit to Lara Beach or Antalya would be lacking without a visit to this historical site which is just up the road. Just wandering about inside the amphitheatre and climbing the stone steps/seating to the top is worth the admission price alone.

I took some friends here and decided to stay in the mini bus - what a mistka to maka. After they didn't return for ages I walked over to see where they were, and I'm glad I did, Wow! I could stop my imagination wondering what happened here all those years ago, and why no more? Not a long visit... More

We asked our hostel owner to suggest a few non-touristy places and this was one of the places he suggested. It is a little difficult to get here, but the drive is pretty scenic. The village of Selge is very different from all the cities we had visited. There is nothing left in the ruins and you actually have to... More

Selge is a lovely village with ancient ruins, the drive in order to reach it, through the mountains is breathtaking. The women of the village are happy to show you the ruined Anphtheater, it is a chance to see Turkish rural life as it is today, and contrasts beautifully with developed seaside resorts like Side

After some kilometers on a minor road among the mountains with almost no signs you arrive to the scattered village of Selge. From there you can see all around a lot of pieces of stones which are the ruins of the antique Selge. The site is fascinating and only if you have a lot of imagination, maybe you can try... More

While the theater is really the only ruins to see, the drive from the sea thru the mountains to the village is unexpectedly stunning. The fields, fairy chimneys, rock formations. There is a tea/gozleme house just as you enter Altikaya/Selge. A charming lady with an interesting life story made the best gozleme. It is a short distance to the ruins.... More

the road that leads to the ruins offers breathtaking views over the national park and the canyon. The amphitheatre is very well preserved, with no crowds and amazing views. You can also have a real experience of turkish countryside life

The Theatre Ruins are nice, and in a spectacular location with great views The drive to get there is long and although the views are fantastic, it is hard work Can be combined with a rafting trip in the Kanyon Parc (at the bottom of the road up to Selge) Locals are pushy and want to flog tourist tat to... the road to access is excellent, it is really nice the village stayed like last century, no road, some house or farm are very old. interesting to see that the actual people continue to walk on the roman road, but the bad point is that the people stayed at the same century too, nice but too pushy exhaust us and...
