It was a real pleasure spending the day with Aykut - we had 3 adults and 3 children, aged 10-14. Aykut's descriptions made the ancient city of Perge come alive, I actually could imagine the shopkeepers, covered walkways, the cascading water at the bathouse while walking around the ruins. It was interesting to observe little of the local life out... More

Had a private tour with Aykut who is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The sites are amazing and Aykut really draws you into the history, telling the story rather than just pointing out historical facts. Really enjoyed the day and Aykut even dropped off us at the end of the day in our favourite eatery, Mid Point.

Aykut picked us up at our hotel near Antalya and gave us a private tour to Perge and Aspendos, providing historical context of the sites in Turkey, and the broader world. From ancient bronze age, to Hittites, to Seljuk, Greek & Roman empires, and from one side of Turkey to the other, Aykut told us he history and background of... More

We had a private tour with Aykut visiting Perge, Aspendos and Side. It included a delicious lunch of savoury Turkish pancakes cooked fresh at a local village farm. Aykut was intelligent and inspirational with his diverse knowledge of Turkish ancient heritage. He could answer any question and was passionate and proud of his culture. A kind friendly guy to spend... More

Aykut were our guide during our visit to the ancient cities of Perge, Aspendos and Side. I have no words to describe how great was the time we had visiting these places with someone with such great knowledge about the Greco-Roman heritage, it was essential to understanding the ruins and its installations as we would never imagine we were stepping... This charming guy is not only a very smooth driver but he knows more than any other guide about the Greco-Roman Heritage of the Antalya area. We spent a rainy May Sunday afternoon with him in Perge and Aspendos. It was the best part of the trip for me. I studied Classics at Yale and Aykut could easily teach there.... More

Aykut provided us with a well-structured, informative and thoroughly professional tour around key classical sites near Belek and Antalya. In emails prior to our flight out to Turkey, Aykut was helpful in suggestions as to the best use of our time. On the ground he was timely, responsive and well informed about a range of topics from the Hittites (and... More

Aykut is a first class tour guide. Why? because he's a degreed archeologist as well as a tour guide. That's not a common combination! Aykut met us at Hadrians gate in Kaleici in Antalya early in the morning. After some introductions, we drove to Termessos where we hiked a bit up to the town and he explained to us in... More
