This was a surprisingly good place to visit. They've done a very good job turning this old shipyard into an interesting museum with lots of history. An easy walk from town and the harbour. There aren't guided tours but it's very easy to do on your own with lots of information provided.

I loved the sound of lapping water in the old shipyard and seeing examples of old anchors and tools. The place felt very welcoming and it was easy to imagine how it was in days gone by. The walk along the waterside was stunning and the combination ticket with the Red Tower is good value at 50TL.

A fascinating old shipyard with a charming pathway which is great for the photo shoot. you can buy a combo ticket for the red tower and the shipyard and it might take nearly 2 hours to visit both. Bring a bottle of water, especially in summer.

Access to the ancient shipyard, Tersane is only by foot along the reconstructed sea wall. There is an entrance fee but you might be satisfied just taking a peak inside. Two idyllic small cafeterias frequented mainly by locals are on the way.

There are 3 nice attractions to visit in a very close radius in Alanya downtown - the Damlatas caves, the historic Red Tower and this old shipyard.
The Shipyard is one of the oldest in this part of Europe and is reachable via the Red Tower. Inside one can see ship models, artifacts related to maritime history and ship building equipment.
Therefore, it's logical to buy the combo ticket which gives access to all 3 with a reduced price.

We visited this shipyard together with the Red Tower, separately tickets cost 10tl per person individually, and if you buy them together then it costs 15tl per person for both locations. It's not a difference in price, but they are very close to the shipyard and come through the tower so it was logical. The shipyard is very nice, it’s not something big and imposing but I think it’s worth a visit. The air is very fresh and very pleasant especially if you go in the summer months. What is interesting is that one can roughly see how they built these ships and how they plunged them into the water. Nice place to visit and to make beautiful pictures with a tower in the background.

Favourite place to visit in Alanya. You can feel the History, in the oldest medieval shipyard in Europe constructed in 1227. Great views looking out over the Bay. Visiting hours 9.00 am until 19.00 pm in the Summer. Visited with the combined Ticket which was 14 TL for the shipyard, red tower & damlatas caves. 10 TL for tower & shipyard. 7 TL for just the shipyard. Reconstruction of ships, artifacts, ship building equipment, 5 Tunnels, walkway to 2 storage rooms at the back. Have to bend down, quite low, under a wall, to get to it, so not great for any disabilities people might have. Single person with a pushchair & child might also struggle to got under. A great price for just over a £ 1.00 to see.

This Shipyard is easy to visit along with the nearby Red Tower. As it forms an interesting part of this busy and attractive resort. The site of the shipyard naturally contains a number of maritime related artefacts and is well worth visiting.

Walk along the fortified sea wall next to the Red Tower, the sea looks so inviting. Duck through the low entrance at the end and you will find the Shipyard. 5 tunnels built into the rock where Alanya's boats were built. Surprising big. Worth a short trip and again heat views.

There are cheap restautrants and stalls with refreshment (fresh orange juice, tea, sea food ...) and a lot of ships and boats. A perfect place for feeling of atmosphere of a real port!
