We just drove around the island and gawked at the lovely Victorian homes. As soon as I decided I'd found my favorite, I spied one I liked as well or more.

It’s cool to see the people traveling in golf carts with their dogs. Some people decorate their golf carts. It’s a great way to be seen and get noticed. Motorists who are driving cars, use caution. The roads and narrow and winding. Blind spots exist. There’s hardly any shoulder. In some locations, overgrown shrubbery obstructs the view.

This former Methodist camp is a must see. There are beautiful Victorian houses, historic buildings and views.

We did not know that Wellesley Island was also residential and that the state park was part of. The experience was poor because this area has seen better days and the signage needs extensive replacing. I'm sure it is a beautiful place but for the little we did see I was not impressed.

We drove across the bride to check out Wellesley Island. It’s a very small area with few restaurants. They appeared to have some B&B’s and rental properties. Of course it’s on the water; therefore this would be a great place to stay if you’re into fishing or boating. We saw a small playground for kids during our drive. Very quiet area. Seems like a nice vacation area for families. Barely any traffic.

Wellesley Island is a very special place to me. My grandparents had a summer home there and I spent a lot of time on the island growing up. A lot has changed since my childhood days. There are more houses and, rather than the quaint old fashioned places I remember, they are flashy and modern and don't seem to fit their surroundings. I used to visit TI Park as a child, but nowadays, they seem to discourage visitors, which is unfortunate, as it really is a very lovely little settlement. The state park is a wonderful place to swim and camp - absolutely beautiful scenery and a terrific sandy beach. However, we found the park staff to be a bit hostile. We felt so welcomed at Keewaydin, this was a stark contrast. I hope the attitude toward guests changes on the island. It used to be such a magical place.

State park here has a lot of amenities for campers. Too many of the sites lack shade so Make sure you were looking at photos of your site before booking. Had a great time camping here. I like that they don’t ban alcohol like Pennsylvania State parks.

Been all over this island! From renting in Westmister Park, Camping at Wellesley Island State Park, to Golfing at the public course and the Thousand Island Country Club. Spending time at TI Park. Not to mention the Boating in the Lake of the Isles is second to none. Fishing is also good! I could go on and on. It's one of my favorite places! I love it so much we bought a cottage on the Lake of the Isles.
