We drove through the Victorian village on the West end of Wellesley Island after we spent the day at the park. It was a very interesting little village and I would love to go back there some day and rent out a place there for...More

Originally a tent city religious campground this 1000 Island Park Association neighborhood is a beautiful Victorian neighborhood filled with lovely homes. The old tabernacle is still in use for shows, lectures, and Sunday services. The original hotel annex is a nice restaurant with shops upstairs....More

Absolutely gorgeous small town. The houses are absolutely picturesque and the scenery is breathtaking. We absolutely loved our walk through the streets and loved seeing all the golf carts. Truly a town that allows you to step back into time.

Beautiful! Only issue is that there is a toll to get over the bridge and then fees to get into the parks. NY needs to rethink charging for parks. That is why we pay taxes. We actually turned around at the 2nd park and didn't...More

Big island, very little on it is the rap. True, but we were visiting a friend in Thousand Island Park, & the tour from the golf cart made the trip very worthwhile. We saw all the styles of housing, Victorian, Arts & Crafts, Painted Lady,...More

hiking in the island was really nice. the markers are very clear and you can decide how long to make your hike - as there are many trails intersecting, creating opportunities for short cuts.

This is a really nice park, especially to camp. Nice views. And some pretty good fishing. Just a nice park, out on the island.

We took a drive on the island to try to see the Boldt Yacht House and to catch a tender boat to Boldt Castle. Unfortunately the Yacht House was closed for the season, and the water was so high that the tender boats weren't running,...More

I did see a few golf carts, lots of bikes and skateboards. I'm not sure if only the staff are allowed the carts though. I'm sure if you call the office they would clarify it for you!!

There was a spigot right across from our campsite which I used to fill my dishwashing basin..not sure how that would work with filling a camper tank however.
