We stayed at Mai Khao resorts, but the beach at the area is not safe to swim. Our friendly staff recommended the Nai Yang beach, 20mins taxi ride. Very pleasant surprise, we loved it. Nice squeaky sand, clean water, safe to swim. One of the best beach I have been to. We also tried a thai massage at the beach... More

Most might know the town of Nai Yang as a convenient layover for flights in and out of the airport. At the risk of blowing our little secret, Nai Yang is worth a visit on its own when one has just a few days. When we feel the need to escape the hectic pace of Kuala Lumpur, this place is... More

Nai Yang is a quiet beach not far from the airport. The bay is quiet pretty, but as many beaches are in Thailand, suffers from frequent wash ups of trash and plastic bottles. There's a small commercial strip along the beach with the typical resaurants and bars.

If you like a lttle bit of old school Thailand then try Nai Yang. Charming and a bit rough aroumd the edges....yet authentic and real. Water is generally clear if the weather in the bay bas been good. Good choice of vendors for quality food and drink. recommend Baan Shaba massage behind Sands eatery. Ask for Pimm.

Nice long beach with trees behind and local food stalls during the day, ideal for beach picnics. Small waves (in April) and towards airport end of beach good for swimming. Occasional plane takes off but not so close. Popular with locals and families. Nice to watch sunset. Some tourist restaurants right on the beach further down serving food and drinks.... More

The protected area of Sirinat National Park, Mai Khao is one of the least developed areas of Phuket, offering up a blissfully crowd-free beach that stretches on for miles. Perfectly positioned to watch the sunset over the sparkling Andaman Sea, our resort provides a tranquil tropical getaway within easy reach of Phuket’s main tourist attractions. Morning run and coffee at... More

My only objective of this trip was to relax after getting married in two weddings. Objective was thoroughly met - a wonderful beach with soft sand (ocean not as blue, and sand not as white as some other phuket beaches, but the sand was soft and the water not too warm, not too cold..perfect!) and some sheltering vegetation. Most importantly,... More
