1 hour taxi from Hua Hin. Nice boat trip round to unspoiled beach then a gentle hike up. Can also take a longer walk. Looks like a nice place to camp and trek.

Phetchaburi is still old Thailand with friendly smiling Thai's. The Caves surrounding area needs tidying up and some TLC. The stairs into the cave are steep and it is quite a long way down. If you are up to it the visit is well worthwhile...More

The restorations work is really a downer, because it ruins the impressions. I understand the need, but they left equipment everywhere, even in places they obviously were not working at now. It will probably be great when they are finished. we came late in the...More

Drove about an hour to Khao Luang Cave. There are lots of monkeys at the foot of the hill. Whilst we can walk up, we paid 15 baht each and took the shuttle truck to and fro. The temple is situated inside the cave. Its...More

It is non-common, the monkeys are funny, but not especially worth traveling for. Tip: you can walk up instead of going by truck. That's more fun for the monkeys and for you.

Took a tuk tuk (15 bahts) to the top of the cave - can walk it, but watch out for the monkeys. Inside the caves, renovation work being done - don't bother about getting blessing from monk - it will cost you - nice inside...More

When we were there, there was no evidence of any work at all. The area is in serious need of a clean up, however still very much worth a visit.
