Waterfall was a nice place to explore and take pictures at. It is however full of bugs and some small snakes and parts of the path are covered with rotten leaves. Worth going to if you are nearby and have nothing to do but not worth a drive of over an hour.

I have visited waterfalls all over the world (with my family including 2 boys 9 and 12). It was a pretty steep walk to the top with maybe 2-3 stops along the way you could choose to go and sit in the mini pools. The top was very small and if there were 10 tourists there, you felt like you couldn’t even turn around comfortably. It was pretty and free but not one of the better waterfalls I have been to.

Disappointing visit to a waterfall with no water there. Was expecting a nice day out to escape the heat but to no avail. Wouldn’t recommend coming

As one of the guys we've met along the trail said, when we asked if he made it to the "
end and the waterfall worth it..."it is more like a shower and not a waterfall
The maintenance is poor, a lot of garbage and some falling trees block the trail
Not the most beautiful trail

We were told that Kathu Falls must be visited while in Phuket. However it just turned out to be a damp squib. It is at best a short nature walk p a hillock along side a slow and shallow gurgling stream coming down stream. Locals said that the falls are splendid after it has rained for a few days. Well if you have time to kill, you can spend an hour or so walking up and down and drenching your feet in shallow pool of fresh water. Otherwise enjoy the lovely beaches of Phuket.

Need to fair bits of climbing the steps to go up to the waterfall. Unfortunately, we were informed of 2 snakes are in front of our paths, so we only climbed half way.

200 Thai bhat to explore the 5 levels of this waterfall. Hard 1km trek to level 1, up and down hill but worth the view. Level 2 to 5 distance not too bad but a must is trainers you go up and down same way. Narrow path, or pieces of wood - allow 2 hours and enjoy the views. Must wear mosquito spray

I'm guessing timing is everything and on the day we visited the waterfalls were hardly inspiring, despite a couple of days of rain previously. ThE whole area has an air of neglect about it and unfortunately the seating/picnic hut at the bottom waterfall has been vandalised and is in poor condition. Climbing the steps to reach the higher waterfalls is a personal choice but not really worth the effort. There's good parking and no entrance fee so probably worth a visit if you're passing or have a couple of hours to spare.

Don't expect a gushing waterfall like those in national parks around Thailand. This is basically a paddling pool deep in organic sediment and litter. Never understood why people would abandon bottles and cans and plastic wrappers in a natural environment such as this. A long drive and very disappointing

My wife and I came to this place by rental car on the way to the airport. I can't complain much since it cost nothing, When we arrived, we made a mistake and actually tried to use the restroom. It was filthy and not maintained at all. I wouldn't mind paying to use the toilet if it looked like that!
Besides that, the walk up to the waterfall and beyond was great exercise. This place looks like a place where teenagers and other locals would come to hang out and play in the water. The water is okay looking, but there's no where decent to change clothes if you wanted to take a swim. The highlight of the trip was seeing a cute red freshwater crab posing for a photograph with me, before climbing a wall. Kathu Waterfall has potential to be a better quality attraction if only there was support and funding from the local community. It looks like they gave up!
