Lovely Beach. You can grab drinks directly there. I'd recommend to go there via the Lek Sand Beach bar as you don't have to pay for the entry there and you get down to the beach in about 20min from there. But where proper shoes for the walk down

    Stunning 🤩
Stunning little beach about 20 minutes by longboat from Patong. Can also be accessed by tuk tuk and foot, but longboat (2000 Baht for 4 people) was a great experience. Water deep and crystal clear - no comparison to Patong Beach. Thai food and fruit drinks available on beach. Don’t miss it.

    Love Beach
Beautiful view. Especially at sunset. The course paths are nicely laid out. what they only forget in Thailand is when you build something, you also have to maintenance it. I fear that this place will be very neglected in a few years.

Nice beach but paid access staff aggressive.
A lovely beach. The only negative was the aggressive staff at the paid access. We wanted to see if the free access was ok but the taxi would only take us to the paid access and then the staff hounded us and told us that there wasn’t a free access and even followed us and showed us text on their phone which pretended to be a website stating that the only way to get in was via the paid access. The free entrance is a bit further up the hill and is a bit steep in places but perfectly good for youngsters. A nice beach though and worth the walk.

Beautiful beach , clear water , lovely sounds but too many people there for me , not so secret anymore. More commercialised . And swimming is limited due to huge rocks in the sea . Preferred Banana Beach less crowded more natural but sand is not as nice .

    Not so crowded
Nicely spent day on this hidden beach. Great location and local street food. We tried also jet ski there. Great choice to avoid lots of people.

Great beach, challenge to get to.
Freedom Beach is beautiful. The Pros are it’s great for snorkelling and fantastic for a chilled out day at the beach. The cons are getting to it. There is a free entrance on the south side that can be accessed by searching for Lek Beach Bar in google maps. There’s plenty of parking for cars and motorcycles. The climb down is very challenging and steep in places. There are another two paid entrances with slightly better steps but we didn’t use these so can’t comment too much.

Beautiful beach - mind the jellyfish
Most beautiful beach, very chill vibes. I got stung by a jellyfish when only in the sea for 2 minutes so be careful, they were also washed up on the sand so try not to tread on them. The hike both down and up is a bit crazy, not for disabled or older people I would not recommend but even though those 2 things I still rate 5/5 and no regrets going!! It was just so beautiful.

    Perfect beach 🏖️
A nice clean beach to visit, has changed over the years since I was last there. Much more busier, but every thing is now. Catch a long boat from Patong beach for around $1500 Bht. Return. Cold drinks are available and there is a small restaurant. Not sure about toilets as I didn’t see any signs!!!

    Freedom beach
Freedom beach is really beautiful, we were a group of 5 and we caught a long tail boat over and the driver picked us up to bring us back in the afternoon. This cost us 1200 baht so a bit over 50 AUD. The beach itself was lovely, we found the beers on the reggae beach bar colder and cheaper than the bar itself. The guy there was nicer too. Shade was limited on the beach.

Given the quite hard access to the beach, we were expecting to find lots of empty spots to relax.
But no, a literal armada of loud diesel boats had ferried in as many people as you'd find on Patong beach during the afternoon (and for a hefty price of 1200-1500 bats nonetheless).
Loud Russians/check, Instagramers/check, annoying beach sellers/check, people going to the toilet in the back of the beach/check.

I don't doubt it must have been a nice calm beach some time ago, but now it's just another spot some entrepreneurial Thais have chosen to screw tourists out of their money.
If lying on a beach like a bunch of sardines in a can is what you like, that spot is for you. Otherwise, if you're close to your money or don't want to slide down a dirt hill to get free access, I would not recommend.

This beach has amazing clean turquoise water, beautiful soft white sand and fringed with palm palms. Truest idyllic if you were not surrounded by boat loads of tourists all playing loud music. The real treat is the wonderful entertainment of watching the pouting girls draped dangerously across rocks spending an hour or more trying to get the perfect instagram photo. Truly hilarious

You can reach it by moto, by car, by tuk tuk, not just by boat( is more expensive).
Advice: where you park your moto or your car is the last shop( family mart), and is the last chance for you to buy some snaks or anything you need. After this you will walk dawn a big hill and it will be really impossible to go back to the shop( becouse is a difficult way- a climbing hill). Don t worry:
1. You can walk on the hill but better not with flippers, maybe an adidas it will make your walk easier. Take care if you are a cardiac, walking is not easy!!!!
2.on the beach there are locals with soft drinks, bear, rise, fish, chicken barbeq, price normal for food, big for drinks, but acceptable.
3. No restaurant on the beach
But, we found an idilic beach, beatifull sand, no paying for the beach( not entrance tax).
Very very very nice beach!!
I recomand you to came here!!

The boat trip on the longtail is great. You can pick up a boat off Patong Beach for between 1.200 tbt & 1500tbt depending on your bargaining skills. We paid 1.300. I love these boats, they sit solid in the water & all the boatmenhzve a wonderful feel for the sea. The trip is about half an hour. The beach is very pretty, but a bit overcrowded now ... probably no longer the magical escape it once was, but still a hundred times better than ghastly Patong Beach. The loacals try to keep it clean, they have bin bags to recycle various bits of rubbish, but there are some dirty tourists . Loads of cigarette bits in the sand ( which do not biodegrade) , bottle tops, sun cream caps. No excuse. Easy to take it back to your hotel with you . You can get cold drinks ... water coke Fanta beer etc & locals are providing bbq .. corn , prawn skewer, chicken skewer, squid skewer, panko coated chicken breasts , fruit . All freshly cooked. The sea is lovely, lots of yellow & black striped fish .... just busy. We thought it worth the money to escape Patong.

During my vacation in Phuket, we had visited this beach. We were staying at Baan Laimai Beach Resort in Patong and from there we took a tuktuk for 300 baht which dropped us at the parking area. From the parking area, we had to walk down a long flight of steps to reach the beach. The Beach has lots of rocks but not crowded which was good. We sat on the rocks and watched sunset over the sea and it was absolutely stunning view and worth all the effort we took for climbing up and down. While going back, we hired motorbike taxi for 100 baht per person to our hotel.

Favourite beach in Phuket. We tried both methods of travelling here, it’s true that the jungle trek is a bit tough, especially on the way up. The boat option is quite expensive but well worth it and you can cut the cost if you arrange to travel with a bigger group. Even though it can be pricey to get here, it’s a must-visit.

I would not recommend this beach, we paid 100 baht entry fee when you can get in for free at another entrance.

The hike down was steep & we actually went the wrong way because there was no signage and I had to scramble across the rocks in flip flops as I wasn’t expecting to do this. We got to the beach and it was beautiful but nothing special the water was very choppy, lots of rubbish too.

The hike back up was the worst thing I have EVER done in my life & I can’t believe nobody else in these reviews are mentioning this?!

We went to freedom beach the day before which is a short drive from paradise beach and it was 10 x better!! You pay 100baht entry but you get a lift down to the bottom & back up, there are sun loungers, kayaks & snorkels for hire, food & drink, swings & the water is sooo much calmer.

Maybe we went on a bad day but definitely don’t go if you have young children or if you struggle with mobility.

Nice sandy beach, near Patong (about 3 km). You can coming with longtail boat (15 min) price is about 1500 baht per boat per two way. You can coming with skuter, taxi, grab taxi (about 400 baht per car per way). If you coming with car, you must go across jungle (good pedestrial roaad with stairs) about 15 min to beach, and about 30 min return bechause is hill. If you can walk up or down hill dont go with car. Beach is nice, white sand, blue green clear wather. Early was small restaurant but now his not there. Some people sell cold drink and fruits (little shinga 80, big chang 120, melon 60, wather 30 baht). On midlle beach is selling pad thai per 100 baht. One of must beautifull beach on Phuket.

I arrived about 10 yesterday
Not many people there. Water was crystal clear and very inviting. Beach vendors were just setting up and only a few people on the beach

It is a great beach, fun for families and perfect place to relax.

Umbrella and matt were free as long as you bought your drinks and snacks from the vendors and prices are cheaper than patong beach.

Does get a bit hectic after lunch and by 1 pm, it resembled patong beach, counting 10 plus boats docked against the beach , meaning you have to swim between the boats.

My preference is take the boat at 1500 baht and get there early with the aim of departing after lunch.

I would go as soon as you can as I feel that this spot may be ruined as it's popularity increases

It’s a little nice beach, but nothing extraordinary. You can choose to go downwards at the one of the first signs that says “freedom beach” If you do so, some individual at a restaurant there will charge you 100 bath per person for letting you pass.
If you instead walk another 100 meters in the main road, there will be a free passage downwards the jungle. After 15-20 minutes of climbing down the stairs and rocks you’ll arrive at the beach. Few people in the morning.
