The access is difficult acc takes 15min, 200THB/person. The beach is very nice and was surrounded by trashes and plastic bottles! What a pitty for a beach that is not free.

We walked from Avista Hideaway which took around 15/20 minutes to get down to the beach. Pay 200 baht each at the top of the hill. Going down is fine (wear shoes with grips, not flip flops!) Make sure you go earlier in the day,...More

If you don't hire a scooter there is a bit of a hike but is so rewarding, every single step! Beautiful sandy beach, wild rainforest, secluded area where you can find a spot just for yourself!

One of the most idyllic beaches I've ever been to, and I've been to many. You are taken to Freedom Beach by a traditional Thai fishing boat. The waters are a tropical aqua and warm - mermaid material and there is a great little restaurant...More

Just a short 15min longboat ride over to Freedom beach made you think you were in a different country. No big crowds just nice and peaceful. You can purchase lunch and drinks from the beach

Absolutely gorgeous beach. Worth the hike in. Go early to beat party groups. Waves were rough, but water was clean. Trash was clustered throughout the beach - would have been nearly perfect otherwise. No food available beachside, so we snuck in some snacks and water...More

After reading the reviews for this beach, my partner and I decided to walk to it. It showed 1.6km from Patong. Do not walk. The road is steep and uphill. Only do it if you are super fit because once you get to the entrance...More
