I didn't take advantage of the Muay Thai training, however it looked intense and VERY popular.
The gym facilities are fantastic. They have lots of cardio equipment, a ton of weights and various machines. I found it easy to invest 1-2 hours each day.
The staff is fantastic.... They're always cleaning.... The place is spotless!
Friendly clientele, great staff.... The rates are very reasonable, too.

Very average gym, machines all out of date and very old. Good if you just want to run on the treadmill or do some weights, don’t get your hopes up for a world class gym or anything! 300 baht for a casual entry. No water coolers!!!!!! You had to buy water which I have never seen in any gym in the world!!!!!!!!

Big gym in Patong at the end of the beach road. Good size and well air conditioned. Changing rooms are in need of refurbishment and a some of the aerobic machine are showing their age. Frequented by a nice bunch of mainly tourist types. Also linked to a pretty hard core Muay Thai training studio.
Training supplements also offered but they seem really pricey compared to back home.
In general a good gym

Spent a month visiting twice a day here, I didn't do any of the combat stuff in the covered outdoor part of the gym. I'm going to guess for Thailand, and Patong for that matter, this is the best gym you could get access to. It cost $120AUD for a month which is madly expensive, and whilst the gym is clean it just reminded me too much of a YMCA gym in the 80's. Plenty of cable assisted machines, the rowing machine displays didn't work and boot straps poorly maintained. I wouldn't bother with the change rooms, and whilst the main gym is air-conditioned, it struggles to cover all areas. Even a water fountain would be a prudent addition. For my purposes it was fine, but needs a good refresh.

I was in Pattaya for three weeks prior to arriving in Phuket.
Most of th gyms in Pattaya/Jomtien don’t have half the American amenities/standards as this gym. Even if you count the new gym in Pattaya called Fitness 7, it still doesn’t compare to this gym.
This gym has air conditioners, disinfectant spray, wipes, newer equipement, bottled water for purchase, protein shakes for purchase and hand sanitizer. I have NEVER seen all of this in a gym in Thailand. Most gyms in Thailand don’t have AC or only part of the gym has AC. Gyms in Thailand think a fan makes the room cool. have never been to a gym (in Thailand) that had all of what’s listed that this gym had in my years of coming to Thailand.
I will say I was told by a lady at a store i bought protein from that a new gym in opening around the area next month. So, be on the lookout.
If you want newer equipment and a sanitized environment come here! I am not saying that everybody wipes down the equipment but at least the stuff to do so is readily available.
No towel no entry. Luckily I seen a trip advisor review warning me and I brought one! No towel no entry is a great rule! If you are not “used to going to the gym 5-6days a week on and off vacation” in various countries you might have a problem with the towel rule.

Hi. I stayed at the princess Patong I think it was called. It had a fridge but no kitchen. But it's about 2min walk from the markets and you can get whatever food you want from there. I think I had a microwave, so I could reheat stuff. I'd also check out airbnb for accom. I didn't know about this until I went to Koh Samui. You can find some real bargains on there.
Motel was fairly basic but nice and clean with a roof top pool. It was 900m walk to the gym. Plenty of decent chemists directly across the road too.
Is this your first time there? Maximum is a great gym, can't fault it really, some gear is a bit dated but still works great and gives it that old school feel I like. Still one of the best around. However I found Koh Samui much nicer, but more cruisey and the gyms there are fantastic. But the chemists don't stock much and as far as protein and supps I ended up ordering from Bangkok. Took about 3 days to arrive. But either way, maximum or elite fitness, you can't go wrong👍🏼

Hi Floozie 1.....when we travel to Phuket we train at Maximum Fitness on the beach at Patong or if you go to Chalong (which is near old Phuket town) there is an entire street dedicated to training and healthy eating. Unit 27 Total Conditioning & Transformation Specialists and Primal Fitness

I'm looking at spending July & August in Patong. Does Maximum Fitness have air conditioning, are locks provided in the ladies change room, what are your summer hours & monthly rates? THANKS!

I can answer the first and second; yes, super air conditioning and locks in male/female changing rooms.
For opening times:
Phone : 083 522 5624 (Eng)
087 894 5366 (Thai)
Open 7am 11pm / 7 days
The Fitness Centre on its own was in December 2,400 Baht a month.
Hope this helps.
