    One Busy Beach
Great beach, pretty busy though, loads of watersports available and plenty of safe swimming areas. Patong is party town and night time is probably not children friendly. But if you think of it as the Asian Benidorm you won't be far off the mark.

    Beach vibes
Patong beach is (almost) back to its pre-COVID vibe. Plenty of people, plenty of deck chairs to rent, lots of vendors trying to pry a couple of baht off you. It’s great to see! There has been a section of the water cordoned off so no jetski’s or boats can enter so it is safe to swim with children. The beach I’d mostly clean but for cigarette butts

You name beach activity and its available without hurting your pocket.
The beach and the strip is very lively even when the temperature hits 35°C. Beer on the beach with beach chairs is available on affordable rates. Other activities one can do - kayaking, surfing, water skiing and parasailing. I had few swimming lessons from a ex Thai Navy guy Yut. It was the best experience, learning to swim in sea. Highly recommended- just opposite Holiday Inn Terrazzo restaurant. Phone no +66 64 971 8342.

    Feel relaxed!
Find a chair in the shade just before sunset, buy a drink and feel sooo relaxed. There always seems to be a light breeze around. From here you can jet ski , hire a fishing boat for a tour, para sail, massage, manicure and pedicure. I found the beach easy walking and just a delight first thing in the morning.

    Patong Beach
I loved hanging at Patong beach. A hive of activity. The people of Phuket were ready to serve. You could literally lounge around all day and they would be running around at your beck and call. Great items for sale.great food. The united nations out in full force, the main question being:which country are you from? Prices are affordable for everything. Much to see and to do. Unrelenting sun so get a hoody shirt and an umbrella which is offered by the hotels for use

Beautiful pristine beach with great spots for shades and shopping
Beautiful pristine beach with an interesting set of restaurants, street merchants and shops. Our plan was to stay a few hours and we enjoyed it so much that we stayed the entire day. The water is clean, fun waves that weren’t too strong and best of all, plenty of ares with trees to get some shade.

    Overrated
Very average beach, there are so many other beaches much better than this. Not sure why this is so famous. Many people keep asking u to try water sports, I been asked at least by 5 people within 2 mins time. It is very annoying. The water sports were expensive as well. There are flags saying swim here and don't swimming here so it is very confusing

    Good for some
Have done the nightlife side in Patong and the reputation is what it is and holiday makers have made it. Its a good long beach and tree lined and we decided to walk round in freedom breakfast time of the day to view all in daytime. Hawkers and massage girls were there but not really in your face if you were polite and smiled.Shops were same same with gear. The place is certainly different during the day .. certainly not beautiful but for many a party town.

    Beach at Patong
Nice location for a few days. Our hotel was in great location to the beach for a good 6km loop safely. A lot of Pot around though, so air quality smells like camel poo. Beach clean and plenty places to sit and not be hassled too much

    Crowded and Touristy
This is one of the main tourist attractions in Phuket. The beachfront itself is busy and lots of water sport activities on offer. There are plenty of restaurants, shops and activity along the streets by the beach. It's very much a party town with nightlife. Signs indicating tsunami hazard zone provide a reminder that this was one of the most affected areas of the tsunami in 2004.

Patong beach is well situated. It’s right in front of Bangla with all the benefits of the eating and drinking places. We spend good time there

We walked this 1 3/4 mile long beach from the Amari Phuket at the south end to the Novotel Phuket at the north end. Once passing the long Patong Jetty to service the cruise ships, it's plenty wide enough to share with the hundreds of chairs, scores of jet ski rentals/long tail boats and the many sun seeking bathers. Returning along the snaking tree-shaded paved promenade was much less desirable with all the parked motos, travel venders, cooking kiosks and beach clubs closing off the access.
We were happy to be staying in a quiet 5 star hotel 1 full block off the beach highway as it becomes very busy and difficult to cross from 11AM into the night.

Kids love playing the sea, sun and sand. Busiest beach ever, and we really missed at the times of lockdown at patong where you can find the pure blue ocean and no hassle of overcrowding.

Beautiful beach. Just amazing. Nice staff at the beach helping with drinks and coconuts. Very nice to spend a day or two at this beach.
Only rated 3 stars due to the corrupt system. Even if you get there early in the morning, the best sunbeds are already have towels on. First rows are somehow prebooked by mainly russians. Although most of them dont show up until 11 am. So unless you know the russian sunbed mafia, you much settle with a sunbed in row 2-4.
A sunbed costs 100 baht for the day.
