I rented a motor bike and drove the short distance to the top (5 minutes) on good quality roads. The temples are modest and the view is beautiful. A good stop that is quick and very close to the centre of town.

Towering above MHS town, you have beautiful views on the town and into the surrounding mountains. There's a winding road up and plenty of parking and shops.

This probably has one of the best sunsets in the area. The sun comes behind the mountains and you can see into the valley.

Take the windy road up the hillside for a great view over Mae Hong Song from the top. Assuming you have come here via the Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Song loop drive, the you can buy your Done 1864 Curves teeshirt here to celebrate.

In late winter (Feb, March) the air is a bit hazy, but becomes more clear later in day. Better to climb up about 5pm when it is not so hot, then watch sky turn color at sunset and slowly see lights turn on in town....More
