If you are around Chiang Mai or Mae Hong Son, do not miss this road trip. You can rent small scooters too and it's easily doable in it. We rented big bikes of 500cc and those big bike added more adventure to our trip.

Lots of great curves and stunning scenery, plenty of coffee shops etc en route and plenty of budget accommodation at each town but if you want a long trip try Australia or Africa. There are no long trips in Thailand

A favourite route for bikers which is easy to understand as it is testing driving with lots of steep climbs and tight bends - I believe the locals counts nearly 2000 of them around the whole loop returning back to Chiang mai. Interesting mountain scenery...More

I don’t think you need not book in advance if you are not for sure about your plans. There are plenty of options available enroute so you can book as per your travel plans. Pai is the only busy town so if possible call the... More

TBB Tours, ex Tony Big Bikes do them from 1200 THB (25usd) a day for a real bike is cb500, ER6 etc other bikes shops C&P Bikes about the same Scooters are from 5$ a day.
