This was probably a great experience some years ago.. Now everything is about tourists, shops with clothes and accessories you find everywhere in Thailand and restaurants. It's very little left from it's origin. Of course you can see how the houses are built, but a little from original life. Visit here are a part of many trips to James Bond... More

Our speedboat trip stopped here for lunch - we had a guided tour of the floating village including football pitch, mosque and school - there are many souvenir shops but the food dining area is vast and caters for hundreds in a very slick and well organised way - the Buffett was very good with ample for everyone, with fruits... Panyee Village was included as part of the Phang Nga Bay tour. It is an interesting village, however the only real reason why it is included is this place is where you will eat your lunch which is included in the tour costs, as well it is on the way to and from James Bond Island. The village is unique... More

Agreeing with other reviewers it is rather depressing and dirty. The food was mediocre but at least the bathrooms were clean. There are shops with ladies selling pearls. Our guide assured us they were real as there is a pearl farm nearby. It is a Muslim run village and people seemed very friendly but were also trying to sell you... More

We visited Koh Panyee as part of a boat trip in Phang Nga bay. Basically, it is a small island with most of it being sheer limestone cliffs, the sole village being built on stilts above the water at the islands edge. There seemed to be hundreds of houses, shacks, shops and restaurants plus a small but beautiful mosque, serving... More

We went on a day trip to a Muslim fishing village. The entire village including schools, mosques, and sports complex was on stilts, and the only way to and from the village was by boat. It's an interesting stop. There is a market set up in the narrow passage ways where the residents try hard to sell the tourists something... More

We arrived at Koh Panyi at 11am in the morning , I've always wanted to visit a floating village so it was a good chance to do so . On entering the market area you will find lots of people mainly selling the same types of goods , t-shirts ,wooden nik naks and food . I found it although very... More

As part of the Andaman Leisure Phuket organized day tour to Phang Nga Bay, this was our lunch stop. It was interesting walking through the narrow floating boardwalk and a ton of souvenir stands. The lunch area is beautiful with wide open airy setting. We enjoyed the break. If it weren't for being part of the tour, we probably would... More

Visited this site to stop for lunch on our trip to James Bond Island. The lunch was good, six dishes for us to share, prawns in batter, fish, chicken, vegetables, rice and soup. We then had an hour to explore the island. The main thoroughfare is just stall after stall trying to sell you food or tourist tat. It was... More
