Thais are known for dual pricing (tourists usually pay alot more for everything, "raka farang") but to get into this park the cost is 50 baht for Thai adults and 20 baht for Thai children - any foreigner wishng to enter will have to pay 200 baht no matter what age group. Sorry but this is unacceptable and reason enough... More

The Fossil Shell Park is essentially the grave yard of millions of gastropods and bivalves (small single shelled snails) that died due to mud covering them and which have now fossilized. Over time the fossil beds have risen to the surface due to changes in the underlying strata. There is a charge to enter the fossil beds as it is... More

More double pricing, 40 baht for thai adults (written in thai numbers which is intentional so foreigners don't know that they're getting ripped-off) 200 baht for foreign adults. 200 baht is outrageous for what there is to see there. You will be hard-pressed to see anything in the rocks, it's a complete waste of time. If you have to go,... More

I never thought that something like a Fossilised Rock with shells in it could be so easily accessible in a touristy place like Thailand. When I first saw them, it felt incredible just to think that those shells could be as old as hundreds of thousands years at least. I could see that a lot of people are complaining about... More

Firstly dont pay 200 Bart to get in its not worth it. But, go to the museum which is free. Read the literature walk around the park and absorb it in. I rented a bike and pretty quickly figures that the fossils cannot only be in this area. I rode my bike about 200 meters down the road and saw... More

Nature is beautiful from sea view. Ancient shells is amazing. You must pay for entrance fee. Souvenir shops have many interesting. By the way I'm not sure is it good for selling shells or better leave shells with nature.

We went here in june, we just thought to go look around since it was just raining lightly. My wife read that the prices was 40B per adult, but that was the price for Thai. Foreignes are still expected to pay 200B per adult. It is not worth that amount of Bath to see something you may see for free... More

It is a few kilometers from Ao Nang beach. However, you need to do a bit of reading up about it before you head down there. It is basically a formation shells over the years. At first glance, it looked like huge pieces of broken cement. When you walk on it only will you realize they are actually millions of... More

Firstly, DO NOT pay the 200 baht they want at the ticket desk. Come after 5pm and there is no-one manning the booths. I wouldn't begrudge the money at all for a site that was worth it or if I thought the fee was used to help the fossil site. But this was so disappointing. The fossils are millimetres in... More
