Undoubtedly a place of geological interest but not worth the 400THB entrance fee levied to enter the national park. Some touristy souvenir and ice cream shops. Not on my must-see list.

As we have stayed in a nearby hotel (ShellSea Krabi) it was an easy trip to see the Fossil Shell Beach - a few minutes stroll down the beach during low tide. The place is really worth visiting, even if not visually spectacular - the...More

Going down to the fossil beach, MUST be spoiled by all the shops selling everything possible. Here are a lot of great clams. In my eyes all these mussels are heard in the ocean and not at home in our living rooms. When we came...More

Car park, few souvenir shops, steps down to the "fossil beach". If I'm honest, without reading the plaque which explains what you're looking at, you could be forgiven for thinking that you were looking at a load of huge concrete paving stones. Not really worth...More

Small visitors centre with information on the background to the large fossil slabs on the beach. Only visible at low tide.

Rock formed by Shell deposits due to certain natural condition that killed the environment for shells. Looks like concrete slab, look closely and it is not. You could see fresh Shell being formed if you visit on a low tide.

One of three fossil beaches in the area. Interesting place to checkout genuine fossils. Looks like broken concrete. Kids were bored with it.

A little bit boring, but if you want to get into the mood and spirit of the reason you came to visit, you will be walking on one of only 3 Fossil Shell Beaches on the Planet. Quite the experience if you think about it.
