This cemetery is the smaller counterpart to the better known one in downtown Kanchanaburi. It is the site of the hospital for the POWs and so the graves are mainly of those who died in that hospital. It is accessible by boat from the Bridge...More

This cemetery is located on a previous POW hospital site. Most of the graves belong to Dutch and British soldiers. It is very well maintained and located a little out of town. Well worth a visit.

Visited to pay our respects when in Kanchanaburi. Peaceful, well kept and thought provoking, a place to pay your respects.

This is a very sombre War Cemetery. Please visit the war graves and keep the memory alive of those who lie here

For any students of history and some of the history of Siam now Thailand this is a very sobering reminder of less pleasant times. some of the names and ranks are a little different but the age differences are amazing.
