We came her as a brief afternoon stop to hopefully cool down with the waterfall. It’s a 5 minute walk from the parking lot. Lots of kids playing and everyone wears shorts and a t shirt to swim (no western swimwear). It’s not a rule just an observation that conservative seems to be better.

Sai Yok National Park is a medium-sized park, but has lots of attractions, including many waterfalls, rivers, caves, forests, and historical features. Great place to find Thailand's natural attractions.

We were charged 300bt each and when we got inside nothing was open. There were no boat trips. The railway and station is just a plaque. We were there less than 15minutes.

Beautiful place. Humid, without electricity. Everything that you got there is from oil generator.
You can make small trip to waterfalls on the river. Take a shower, make some pictures. The water is cold, but it's still worthy.
Me and our tourist group stayed at lovely Madata Raft House. The place has excellent restaurant! Plus there are hammocks outside where people can chill. The place is really very Instagram-friendly.
What I minded at the hotel was water system. The water for showers/bathroom sinks/toilets is taken from the river. And it's returned to the very same river. So if you stay in the room lower the river's downstream.... Just think about it. I was not comfortable to use sink water to to wash my teeth.

Some of the people who posted here seem to have confused Sai Yok with Erawan. In Sai Yok swimming or bathing is not possible.
We entered the park from the Visitor Centre where you can get a map of the public part of the park. We enjoyed the nature trail (about 2.3 km). Most of the displayed information is in bad English and hardly legible - with an entry fee of 300 THB per foreigner I had expected better service. But it is definitely worth going if you enjoy a hike in the mostly shady jungle.
