Engaging and useful experience to admire elephants in a very beautiful environment and to interact in a simple and fun way
Good transportation service from the hotel. Nice activities to give food, spread mud and bathe elephants in the river. In our case, too many groups at the same time made the activity less engaging. The Thai buffet lunch was good. Overall a great experience that I recommend. Besides me, I saw many other adults and of course the children very happy to be in such close contact with the elephants.

    Rewarding experience
Visiting places with animals always makes us suspicious and doubtful. We must try to maintain a balance between real care in an environment suitable for the animal and interaction with visitors who pay to be with them for a short time. In this reserve/foundation I think they have achieved it and I congratulate them. You can tell they love the elephants. The mahouts (caretakers) keep an eye on the elephants, with friendly and reassuring gestures, while keeping an eye on the visitors. Highly recommended experience and one that should not be missed if you visit this area of Thailand.

You absolutely can’t miss this if you come to Thailand.
This is by far the coolest experience ive had. To be able to help bath and feed these animals who crave human interacting was the most special thing I’ve experienced with an animal. The staff cares for these elephants deeply and you can tell just by the way the elephants walk when they’re around their caretakers. It is 100% worth the trip to Kanchanaburi. We did a 1/2 day which was 1800 baht ($50) per person. We didn’t feel rushed and we had more than enough time to feed them, prepare a meal for them, give them a mud bath and scrub them before heading back to the main area for a wonderful lunch!

Elephants World rocked my world. GO THERE.
Elephants World stole my heart. The staff were great, the grounds are gorgeous, and the elephants... ... I could not get enough of them. The experience of feeding, bathing and playing with these gentle giants is an animal lover's dream. As soon as I left Elephants World, I desperately wanted to go back. DO NOT MISS THIS.

    Great experience
It was really great! I went there with my sister (reservation on GetYourGuide), we were picked up by a driver in Kanchanaburi for 8:30 a.m. to go to ElephantsWordl, the welcome was super warm, Eda took great care of us. directly placed in trust with the elephants. We started the day by feeding the elephants (we had boxes with turnips, watermelons and bananas to give them directly through their trunks). Then we went to cut bamboo which we then gave to the elephants. The staff always offered to take photos of us to keep lots of memories! This was followed by the preparation of food for the old elephants (it was bouillabaisse) Afterwards we went with them into the boiling water to dirty them. Right after we took them into the river to wash them using brushes, water fights followed with Mana one of the guides, we were able to cuddle them and clean them, it was really great! The morning ended with a little motorbike ride with Zéro (we were privileged haha) and a really good meal in front of the river! Thanks to the reservation on GetYourGuide we were able to go to the Erawan waterfalls, the climb to the 7th level took us around 28 minutes on military march. The view is worth it, but level 1 is still the nicest even if there are a little more people than on the 7th! I really advise you to do the elephant activity which is really great, they are treated really well and the staff is great (we enjoyed it so much that we left them each a tip!)

    Elephant World 10/10
Amazing morning with the elephants. The whole area was amazing. From the staff member who picked us up at our hotel, to our guide at the park, the elephant handlers and all the other staff. Elephant World is week worth the visit, couples , families, those travelling solo. We have to elephants in Chang Mai and Pattaya, this would have to be the best experience.

    Highlight of our family holiday
I booked direct with the official website and got confirmation with clear info about our trip and cost. We are a family of 5 and there is a discount on our 2 younger kids. My enquiry messages are replied very quickly. On the day before the trip we got further confirmation of pick up point. Our driver Siri arrived 5 min before the agreed time and he drove us to destination with lots of introductions about Thailand, Bangkok and regions beyond. The whole day program is exactly what says on the tin. Everything went perfectly with a relaxing pace. Elephants are cared for ethically and you can feel the love in the community. Our children were looked after and helped in all the feeding activities and lake bath activities. Lunch was simple but nice. The whole environment feels so clean and calm. Gift shop is lovely. Shower facilities are basic but clean. Very well organised.

We stayed 1 night-2 days in the sanctuary and it was one of the best experience of our life. The booking was smooth. We got picked up by a funky driver from Kanchanaburi, he was explaining every building/park/temple along the way-he was the funniest “tour guide” ever. When we arrived we got greeted and jumped right into the experience. We fed the elephants, walked with them, cooked for them, gave them a bath and so on. The food was very tasty, we got 2 lunches, a breakfast and a dinner, all were really nice, catering for any needs or allergies. Our accommodation was right next to the river, with a beautiful terrace, where we could really relax. The room had an AC, which made the heat so much more acceptable. On day two we had even more elephant experience, an early morning hike to the nearby hills and also a really cool river floating experience. They really care about the elephants and generally about animals. We loved every minute of this experience. Highly recommended!

Went to this beautiful open sanctuary on my trip to Thailand in November & it was the best experience! The staff is super friendly & helpful. You can tell they really love the animals, and vice versa. We booked our vacation through groupon and this came included in the package- 10/10 recommend!

Overall - I have the impression that I was involved in something not really good for these beautiful animals.
The elephants were tied with a short chain to the leg while being fed by visitors. Elephant bathing, in my opinion, was more entertainment for visitors than pleasure for elephants.
Additionally, the elephants were forced to pose for photos during and after bathing. Also, sprinkling water on us with the trumpets was not really the initiative of the elephants, but it was like a circus trick...

People were Nice. However, the Elephants are still on a circuit suited to make the best picuture for big group of tourists. They do not have a choice in being lead around and are made to stay in the water or in a pose so tourists can wash them or to get their pictures taken. Even when the elephants want to get out, the mahout is there with a pulling his ears making it stay in the water. This is unethical and i went home with a big stone in my belly.

I visited Elephants World in Kanchanaburi as a solo traveler and it was amazing! I had an up close and personal tour. This is an ethical elephant sanctuary (no riding elephants or shows) but it is fully interactive. I was able to feed them, help cut down banana trees, bathe them, made rice balls for the older ones who can only eat soft foods and then hand fed the rice balls to them. I highly recommend this day trip! The experience was amazing and they really need all the help they can get right now. If you’re in Bangkok this is an easy day trip. Don’t miss it!

A welcome experience after the bustle of Bangkok. I have a soft spot for elephants and getting to interact with them up close was amazing. I visited during the off season so there weren’t that many other guests. The staff and elephant handlers are great.

Important note before visiting: this is not a reserve. The elephants here have been rescued from various places and have been “domesticated.” I was perturbed to see some tied off when their handler wasn’t around and the restrictions in their movements in general. Just adjust expectations before you visit.

Having said that, it is clear that the handlers are firm but fair with their elephants.

For 1800 Bhat (I did the half day afternoon) we had a buffet style lunch, taxi pick up and drop off, and 2 hours of activities with the elephants. My only complain would be that the activities time felt rather short. An hour more would be ideal.

Personally if I had known earlier, I would have chosen a more hands off place. But, in all fairness, being fed yummy pumpkins and getting mud baths from tourists with the occasional picture seems to be a much better lot compared to their earlier lives.

Fabulous family day at this sanctuary, we had travelled from Bangkok, around a 2.5 hour drive,

Plenty time spent with elephants, feeding them, making their food, which culminated in bathing the elephants in the river, amazing,

Around 32 elephants here, including one baby and a couple of ones with limited vision, bless them.

Guide was amazing.

Trip included nice lunch and water, plus biscuits before you leave, towels to shower at the end of your day. They have lockers to secure your belongings whilst you are out and about. Also have small shop to purchase tourist bits plus drinks.

Highly recommend this.

We were at Elephantsworld on August 11th 2022. They were very friendly. Even called us that the pick up at the hotel was a half hour late. At Elephantsworld we got a nice Thai lunch and fresh fruits. Than our guide, Chang, came to tell us that we could start feeding the elephants. There were 3. One was a little one. So cute. After that we went for the banana plantation to cut old bananatrees also to feed the elephants. When we drove to the mudbath/river. They already came towards us because they knew there was food again. After feeding they took their mudbath. We could help to put the mud on the elephants. And after that they walked into the river for cleaning and have their spa-treatment. We brushed the mud from the elephants and they said thank you by spraying water all over us.
We also visited the oldest elephant to feed her. She got cooked Rice with banana and the minerals she needs. We made balls of it and put them into the mouth of the elephant. Everyone who works there is so friendly and involved with these animals. We learned so much from these people. Thank you for this great experience. This was a day that we never forget.

Let me start by saying, it’s not my first time to do an elephant interaction in nature, so I am able to compare and contrast.

The booking process is efficient, you fill
A google survey through their website, and they contact you with an email and price quotation, and you can confirm your reservation that way.

There are different packages to choose from including half and full days, with and without transportation from your hotel if you are in Kanchanaburi. We paid 1800 baht per person including transportation, a small buffet lunch upon arrival (no chance to opt out, so avoid having breakfast before going), and entrance.

Once you arrive, you are assigned
A guide, but you are pooled with other groups as you perform the activities, so it doesn’t feel personalized at all.

That being said, you get to do
All the basic stuff such as feeding elephants watermelon from a platform (feed him to his trunk not in his mouth (My hand got chewed by an elephant and it really swelled and hurt for 2 days). You also get to cut some grass for them in a field using primitive tools, feed them rice balls, and then play in the mud with them, and shower them in the river.

Overall, fun but not personal! The lunch buffet is not that good, and they force you to have it upon arrival (1 hour. Lost)

What a fantastic experience this was! (3 adults + 1, 7 year old) we all loved it from start to finish! Having a go at all the different stages of looking after a group of elephants culminating in a swim and ay in the river as the young baby elephant playfully squirted us!
