Had been to the station for a look and came across this fine statue on the way back, knew what it was as the lady at the information centre had mentioned it to my wife .
Not much of a park but a great statue there to immortalise a great local lad who became a world champion boxer.
There is some history on the statue which is good so you know a little about this guy.
Well done to all involved for putting this statue there, the community obviously loved him and what an inspiration he must have been to lads in the past and for the ones now.

Near the station, there is not a lot to see here. It is used as a venue for concerts, when this happens there are lots of food stalls etc. and it is worth a visit then. Couldn't post any pics as TA says they are too big!

It’s a nice park, very near to the station was built in memory of a Thai world boxing champion named Pone. The Pone Kingpetch Statue is the main attraction of the small park. If you are going to the railway station, you may visit this park.

I remember this park because we pass it the time that we return from Hua Hin railway station and i remember the statue here. I don't know why the include this as an attraction in Hua Hin, as it's nothing to see or to do here. Only some noise from the cars that they pass the road.

A park, not far from the station, in memory of a Thai world boxing champion. The park is small with very little to commend it other than the statue. Only of interest to those with an interest in boxing.

Phone Kingpetch the 3x world boxing champion in the 1960's got a statue and park for his efforts. He died in 1982 in a ripe old age of 47. Pone was gone too soon. You will walk by this statue, if you are going to or from the railway station. The park is not really noteworthy, unless you visit during the monthly farmers market. The market consist of only few vendors.
Sometimes TripAdvisor asks really stupid questions at the end of review. The question it asked this time: 'Is food available at this Attraction?' There is always food available in Thailand. Everywhere and Anytime .

Small park in central Hua Hin celebrating the life of Thai world boxing champion Pone Kingpeth, 2 minutes walk from the train station. Not much greenery, a few nice trees, large concrete flagged area, good for skateboarding or gatherings I guess.
If you are passing and need a seat out of the sun go in, otherwise not worth going out of your way for, unless you are a follower of boxing.

It is there. Easy to find. Not much to say. It is easily accessible and obvious. There are lots of "shops" and massage parlours around it.

Pone Kingpeth Park is where the Chinese New Year celebrations parade commenced. Many School children, floats, dragons were part of the parade that continued down the main highway through Hua Hin. Very colourful, lots of drumming as well.
