Walked up to the temple at the top, passing monkeys on the way. Lovely views at the top and very amusing watching the monkeys. Be aware of your belongings because the monkeys do like to grab items. Try not to feed them.

Nothing wrong with the beach in front of the hill, or the view of the giant Buddha from the beach, but the Monkey's were the only living thing left on the rock itself that we could see. It reeks, it has a derelict restaurant, and...More

With my wife being a follower of Buddhism we made a point of visiting this site while on holiday in Hua Hin. The religious sites themselves in isolation are ok from a scenic point of view, but the whole place is surrounded by rubbish, building...More

A lot to see from here as it offers a great viewing spot to look over Hua Hin beach.Watch out for monkeys as they are a bit aggressive.

This hill, otherwise known as monkey mountain was a 3k walk along the beach from The Hyatt Regency. The hill is a Bhuddist temple on one side but also a space that you can climb to the top over 152 steep stairs. Unfortunately the area...More

Khao Takiab is just a hill. Not much of interest. From the distance it looks interesting with the big standing Budha. But in general it is a dirty hill with some 'temple-kind-of-buildings'. That is the North side. The South side you can drive up and...More

No entrance fee, but what I will add is, if you get a tuk yuk or taxi there, get them to stay and wait for you, we found that once we got dropped off there wasn't any taxis heading back and had to get a local shop owner to... More

OK, I am not sure what you mean by "Monkey Island", some people call it Monkey Mountain, but if you go up the steep, steep winding road all the way to the top to where the steps to the Temple on the very top of the mountain... More
