A very easy place to visit, the climb is quite short to reach the top although care should be taken when climbing the concrete steps as they are uneven and a little steep. Take care of your belongings such as handbags, cameras phones etc, as a stealthy monkey will whip them away if not careful. The monkeys here are quite... More

Great little tour south of Hua Hin, a favorite of ours. Locals also call it monkey island. The monkeys provide the entertainment. But also don't miss to visit the temple at the top of the 100+ steps. A bit of exercise to get rid of your green curry excesses. On the back side (go down turn right) there is a... More

Lots of steps to reach the top, but Wat is disappointing. It does have great views of Hua Hin beach. Area looks like it is under permanent construction. Monkey's are everywhere and kind of aggressive. Be carful if bags/camera's.

This was the only day of our 10 days in Hua Hin that we ventured out by taxi. This location takes you through the fishing village on the way up where numerous fishing boats are moored. The views of the coast were excellent. We did not stop at the markets at the top. Great scenic views.

Besides the Khao Takiab Temple on top of hill; it is a great place to have spectacular view of Hua Hin Beach and the Sea view. Just be aware of the monkeys; there are many monkeys around and sometimes they are notorious. So, just keep distance and not to disturb them.

Walked down the beach about 4 miles one afternoon to see what this was ...we were not disappointed...the temple itself is a bit scruffy but the monkeys swimming in the rock pools was fantastic Don't get there much after 1 in the afternoon as they all disappeared to be fed by the monks about then Amazing couple of hours 😎

At the end of the Hua Hin beach is Khao Takiabi, a rocky outcrop with a Wat. It's worth the effort visiting and taking a walk to the Wat for the view across Hua Hin. There a numerous monkeys who have no fear of humans so don't take food unless you wish to be over whelmed with them.

Loved this place. Especially seeing the monkeys running about. Lovely beach and genuine friendly Thai people hiring out sunbeds.
