Hua Hin Beach - pleasantly spent time in the city and by the sea
Hua Hin is a picturesque tourist town on the Gulf of Thailand located in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. It is also a popular destination for a weekend trip or vacation. This is due to the relatively close distance to Bangkok - approx. 200 km. The advantage is also the possibility of convenient access by various means of transport. All this makes Hua Hin an attractive choice for an unforgettable trip.

Nice relaxing place to spend a few days. Be wary of sharp rocks!
I spent a few days here not having anything planned, just went to the beach and got drunk a lot and went for a swim and enjoyed being near the water. There is plenty of available space so crowds were not an issue even on weekends. It's a nice clean beach, vast and open. You can sit by the main beach and have a drink and a meal or walk around to find some more remote parts to enjoy. One thing that has already been pointed out in the reviews are the number of large, sharp rocks when you try to go for a swim in waters around chest height (during high tide). They will cut and shred your feet and hands as they did mine, severely impacting my mobility in the succeeding days. Otherwise, it's a nice place to spend a day or two and not too far from Bangkok.

    Hua Hin Beach Day
Went for a walk early in the morning and it was pretty quiet which is great for me to enjoy before the crowds started to appear. There are lots of stalls selling beach gear as you walk towards the beach, even rentals for motorcycle and cars. The beach is clean and the water as well. It is one of those beach that are not over clustered with beach chair. There are a few rocks jutting out by the edge of the shore for some great photograph. And, it was just walking distance to town and a nearby Chinese temple. If you don't like crowds, morning is the best time to go.

Beach was very tidal when we were there so only a couple of opportunities to walk it and crowded as a result. Stayed at a pool villa (Movenpick Asara) so didn't really matter.

Much more quieter than Pattaya with calm sea, beautiful coast line and less people, which is suitable for those loving nature and enjoy the slow and calm atmosphere.

Lovely beach town, very quiet and serene zone is toward Takeab Mount, where you can find a good surf spot and reasonable seafood :)

I can imagine Hua Hin is nice if you book a resort and don't leave the place, except for the beach that right next to it. The beach is nice, although to be honest, you can do a lot better in Thailand.

More importantly, Hua Hin seems to have become the place for older men who are looking for young Thai prostitutes. Especially after dawn the vibe in town gets quite cringey because of it. The place is crawling with horny single men sitting around, waiting for the night to arrive. If you're looking for a nice laidback beach vibe, skip Hua Hin, and travel a little further south to one of the many islands.

We didnt spend long here as we were staying at a resort 5 kms out of town, although it was more than enough. The town surrounding the beach is a mixture of cannabis outlets and "massage" outlets. The beach is covered in chairs and umbrellas, while big high rise hotels surround the area. There is an eclectic range of people as tourists. Many do enjoy the night markets though. Personally, we are much better off at our resort 5kms from town!

Hua Hin Beach full of garbage and trash. Check the fotos. The most of the Hotels even clean their beach part.
