The temple itself is magnificent and the buddha statue is awe-inspiring. Add the exciting experience to buy fish or turtle and release them in the nearby pond. The catch is the temple is quite far like 30+km from the hotel. The white songthaew which is supposed to start from and ends at this temple leaves hourly only. We used a grab taxi and was lucky to find a very nice lady driver who also offered to wait and took us back to hua hin hotel for a round trip fee.

...from town. Only 200 baht, not too bad. Actually the driver waited an hour for me. It must not be that busy for her to do that. Whatever, this is a major temple in maybe for the whole country. It honors a monk named Luang Pu Thuat from 16th century (around then) and has a huge statue of him that lords over the area. Lots of things going on here. I found a quiet place to sit and meditate for a while. I looked over the grounds. Saw some different things. There might be a cave with some Buddhas in it. I did see a lake in the back with what looks like a large, brand new Buddha complex across it. What else: I don't know. I don't feel like writing right now. On the way back home, I did ask that driver if she had any babies. She showed me a picture of her dog.

Fabulous day out the temple is peaceful and beautiful. Take the time to explore the whole area. Walk over the lake to the second temple which is also amazing. A special treat was buying fish food and feeding the large fish in the lake. Highly recommended day trip!

It is another recommended place in Hua Hin. Anyone who comes to Hua Hin must pay homage to Luang Pu Thuat for blessings. It is a large statue of Luang Pu Thuat and is another beautiful temple. Must worship this place, besides the statues, there is also a large fish pond to feed. The temple area is quite large. comfortable travel Whoever comes to Hua Hin, recommend this place.

A beautiful and large temple People come to worship Luang Pho very much. During the festival there will be a lot of people. The highlight is the large Reverend Father. Going there, everyone must survive the elephant's belly because it's good for life.

It is a religion property with a huge statue of a monk. The entrance fee is free. You can spend there for about half an hour unless you are a Buddhist to pray. Go there early in the morning or late in the evening because of the weather.

I spent about 30 minutes here looking over the grounds and taking photos. The Big Buddha statue was very impressive. Unfortunately we did not get to climb up next to the Buddha. Perhaps if I did I would give a higher TA rating.

About a 30 minute drive from the city center. If you have not visited a Thai Buddhist temple before, you will find this interesting. However, it is just an average temple compared to others in Thailand. It is known for bringing good luck to visitors who buy lottery tickets, The next day I won $500 USD in the lottery !!!

Interesting place to visit if you fancy a drive south of Hua Hin. There's a huge Bubba & temple there. Can be busy if there are any Thai festivals on. Worth the trip for a bit of Thai culture & it will keep you out of the bars of Hua Hin for a while.

Nice for a cultural outing. Everything in Thai and almost no tourists. Nice place to walk around for 1 1/2 hours. Only 30 minutes from Hua Hin and easily accessible by taxi

How can I get to this temple from Hua Hin Railway Station? The cheapest way possible. Thanks!

The best way and the safety for you.
1. If you rent the car for travel in Hua Hin, this is the best choice and you can go to any place you want.
2. You have to hire the local taxi or tuk tuk or mini bus or songtaew or motorbike (if you want to get the fresh air)
I wish you'll safe your journey and enjoy your holiday.
