This temple is within walking distance of Wat Phra Kaeo which you can combine in a trip. Quiet and beautiful with barely any tourist around. Recommended.

We did our own, nickel walking tour of Wats and this was our first. Nice grounds, good washroom. It is not a large Wat but we like visiting many to see the diversity of styles inside and out. It has very nice grounds and is quite ornate plus it has a jade Buddha. We did see arrangements and setup for a funeral of young man, sad to see. It is past one of the large local markets and if you like Wats, very much worth visiting.

Neat carvings and roof. Easy to get to as it's in the city center, but the more memorable ones aren't.

Wat Pra Sing is a Buddhist temple located almost on Chiang Rai city center and was built in 14th century. It has a Calm & Relaxing area. If you travel to North of Thailand its recommended for Visiting and Meditating. You can find there many Buddha images and Buddhist elements.

For me there are three or four wats in central Chiang Rai that are really worth seeing and this is one of them.

Great roof, some lovely carvings and Buddha images. Very quiet when we were there. Still has that genuine 'revered' feeling you sometimes loose with temples full of tourists.

This is the small buddha statue located in a smaller shrine /temple in this monastery. Very quiet and enchanting.

As a self-styled connoisseur of Buddhist Temples in Thailand, this temple was pretty impressive. I like it when they mix dark red or brown with gold. It really makes the building stand out from the rest.

If you’ve visited many Thai temples as I have, you might be templed out, or you might be just as excited as you were on your first temple visit. I’m always excited to visit Thai temples and this temple was no exception.

Beautiful building, nice painting and decorated in Thai colours, be sure not to give this a miss. The entrance gate is very impressive and the building is very picturesque.

There isn't much here. Advisable to only come if you have spare time to kill. It's quite near to the Saturday Night Market.

Just drop in this small temple after walking in the busy city makes such a big difference, I visited here at the dusk when not much tourists are around, the temple housing one of the most revered Lanna Buddha Image, Phra Singha

Location: *****
easily accessible by private car or taxi and public transport

Universal design: *
the temple is not easily accessible for wheelchair person, no disabled parking, the steep-step stairs up to Phra Singha Hall
