I spent a week with the Children at Amani as one of their Ambassadors as a prelude to going on safari the following week. I am at a loss for words at how enriching this experience was for me. The children, who will melt your heart by the way, are very friendly, love to see visitors, and many of them... More

We donate school supplies each time we go there and bought them a milk cow also. They are doing a good service.

I dropped in to visit everyone at Amani children's home in Moshi but did't have a lot of time to spare. I have been a supporter of this children's home for more than 5 years now. Private Expeditions who we climbed Kilimanjaro with sponsor this orphanage and arranged for us to have a visit. it is a wonderful place- all the kids are what they call "street kids" abandoned by parents who cannot support them. All the kids we met looked happy and full of life - very humbling to see. Definitely worth the time!

The project itself is wonderful but we found the attidude of the lady showing us around a little aloof. Perhaps this is part and parcel of showing tourists around, but we simply had better experiences
