the exterior of this premises is dated and does not do justice to the huge space inside, nor does it reveal anything about the works on display. The space is huge, and the curator did a good job in selecting works for display during our...More

A beautifully curated collection of Taiwanese art from oil on canvas to mixed media and everything in between. When I visited two exhibitions in particular caught my attention - one highlighting Ink as a medium, the other a spectacular gallery on calligraphy. Free, well organized,...More

There was a nice exhibit on the first floor with photos and other related art to how communities are screwed over by big corporations and governments. Interesting but depressing. The main open area is supposed to be filled with statues, but there were only two...More

With five floors of exhibition area, there is a lot to see, from classical period to modern art. Figure on spending several hours here.

This place has always something of interest. A few permanent pieces in the lobby and outside. The layout is very good and has many options for different exhibitions. Great shop.

The museum is a bit off the beaten path and you need a taxi to get there, but the quality of the exhibits makes it worth while. The permanent exhibition of artworks by Kaohsiung locals truly showcases the underappreciated and under-publicised creative talent of the...More

As someone who's not at all an art snob but is nevertheless accustomed to enjoying masterfully curated art museums, where the space is as carefully crafted as the choice of content within it (thinking NYC's Whitney, London's Tate, Boston's ICA), the best I can describe...More

The museum is situated at a beautiful park where one can spend an hour walking around to appreciate its tranquillity. Entrance is free and the exhibitions during my visit (early June 2016) are interesting and appealing to the senses. After your visit, you can walk...More
