This is one of my Unforgettable experience. My bf and I really enjoy it. It's all about nature, amazing that Taiwan can take care of their Natural Resources I salute them. Trails are worth to walk for. Words can't express how we enjoyed this place....More

Very dramatic scenery of the huge marble boulders and the rushing water. We walked about 1km along the roadway through a few tunnels and drovethe other 10 km.

Unfortunately due to typhoondamage a few trails that were on my to do list were closed. Nevertheless this gorge is breathtaking. Stunning views. Loved the shakadangtrail. Must see when in Taiwan. Come early to avoid the crowds.

A very easy trail to walk with good views of the gorge and clear waters. Many opportunities for photo taking. Along the way can stop for local tea eggs & millet juice sold by locals

Amazing views! I recommend applying to do the Zhuliu hiking trail. About 2 hours up... very steep but very rewarding!!!!! You have to get there to start hike before 11am or they won’t let you go because they don’t think you’ll be back before dark....More

I wouldn't recommend this as a one day trip from Taipei, although I suppose you "could" make it work. Far better, IMO, would be to go to Hualien, stay there and take the tour bus from their office near the train station... More
