Top notch 9-day customized tour of central & south Sri Lanka, with guide/driver Dulanjan of Sri Lanka Expeditions. My wife and I went on this tour in Dulanjan's air-conditioned, roomy van. All the places we stayed were great! Dulanjan is a wonderful person to travel with, friendly, professional, knowledgeable and genuinely a very nice person, in his mid-30s. We highly recommend this tour. We stayed near the Lion's Rock and Cave Temple the first night, Kandy the 2nd night, two nights in Ella (great town), then two nights for safaris at Udelawewe (elephants, etc),Yala (leopards, etc), Bundala (birds), on to Mirissa on the beach for two nights (blue whales, sea turtles), and a day at Galle. Customized site tours at Galle and the three Buddhist cultural locations.
We strongly recommend traveling with Dula - the quality of your trip is very much dependent upon your guide/driver.

We travelled to Sri Lanka in January this year for the first time. Wow what an experience. It is a beautiful country and the people are so warm and welcoming. We engaged Expeditions Sri Lanka to be our local guides. Well, we are so glad that we did! We were met at the airport by a well presented, professional guide with a welcoming smile, just what we needed after a long journey. We did a four day cultural tour which gave us a wonderful insight into this beautiful country, its people and culture. Nothing was too much trouble for our guide, Malan, and he happily made changes to the programme when we wanted to throw something else in! He has a deep knowledge and understanding of the country and its culture, and was able to teach us so much about this country. Malan was always on time to pick us up, normally already waiting, and was always clean, tidy and professional. I would highly recommend Expeditions Sri Lanka and, in particular, Malan, as a tour guide. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

We took the day transfers from Colombo to the tea country near Nuwara Eliya (both back and forth). The quality of cars was very good and the drivers/guides were knowledgeable and safe. We found he overall price to be reasonable as compared to other agencies as well.
Also, Mr. Malinthe is very responsive to queries and accommodating to any change in plans. Would not hesitate to contact Expeditions again for inland travel in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka Epeditions safari package at Wilpattu National Park is NOT recommended. We paid a lot of money for the safari but only had a driver with little English and no guide. As a consequence we drove around all day and learnt nothing about the park or the wildlife. Poor value for money.
However, Wilpattu Tree House provided great accommodation with good food and very friendly staff.

We hired a mini bus via Expeditions to transport us to Kandy which we stopped on route at the Elephant Sanctuary, the driver was prompt on picking us up and informed us of interesting spots along the way. Very good service and met all our needs. Highly recommend.
