Many water sports company have set up at this place providing various adventure rides from banana boat to jet ski, snorkeling to speed boat, kayaking, and others.
Do carry a extra set of clothes when you plan to visit this place and wear comfortable clothes. the water-sports gear are available on rent and included in the package. the price ranges from SLR 500/- per head for a ride to SLR 4500 for package which include few rides. You may also take family / group packages.
The water sports company have a deck of their own and have restroom/ showers and restaurant for drinks and food. This is easily a half day event including pick-up and drop at your hotel.
Do give this place a try and you will not regret.

Bentota has a lot of water sports centres, mostly located on the river, and La Luna is a little known one, on the main Galle Road, which offers all the possible water-sports activities such as Scuba, Snorkeling, Jet-Ski, Banana Boat, Speedboats, Water-Skiing, and of course Boat Rides up the river.
The rates are lower than other places, and you can bargain with them!
Not to be missed is the boat ride where you go up the river and in the dark mangroves, an old man offers to put his "pet" baby crocodiles on your head for a photo-shoot!

IMPORTANT please read before booking with them.
Please do not go to this water sports centre as they are liars and cheats. We were unaware of the going rate for a mangrove and river cruise and found this out via trip advisor and our hotel reception later(4500 Sri Lanka rupees for one boat for 2hours).
The manager of this place however charged us 16500 Sri Lanka rupees plus conversion charges for a one and a half hour trip.when we discovered later on that we had been severely cheated we made several phone calls to this place and the manager refused to speak to us or to refund the money and he kept avoiding us by putting junior members of staff on the line. The poor boatman who actually took us on the tour did not get any of our money which was pocketed by the manager. We would hope that other travellers do not meet with similar misfortune and avoid giving any business whatsoever to this fraudulent outfit.
If you value your money then please do not go here at all.we are unable to give any number below one out of five but if it was possible we would give it negative scores out of 5.

I hired a boat for fishing.
The boat was presented to us , but we were not told it could not run with the big engine , also there was no anchor, so we could not lie still and fish, which we paid for. The charge us 60000 rupees and we were so cheated. When the anchor and the engine was mentioned by us we were asked to leave in a very harsh way.
Be aware this is not a very nice man who runs this business. A terrible ambassador for Sri Lanka which we have loved so far besides this cheater.
Please go somewhere else, or your trip will be disappointing one.

The centre is good, full range of activities, and a lot of fun too. It is a bit expensive for services provided - but otherwise a good experience.

This is my 1st review in my life ever.I was in many places, many hotels, tried many things but nothing upset me more than Laluna fishing so I registered here and had to do it so these people dont take money for nothing fro others. I paid 150US for 4hrs trolling, didnt catch anything. We went around 20km.Two extremelly unfriendly guys were riding 50yrs old boat, didnt speak to us, if we asked for something they answered in few words even though I think their level of english was ok to tell us something about fishing, Bentota area, fishing equipment they were using, etc. It looked like they were upset that they had to go with us.Sri Lankan People are mostly very nice, helpfull and great to talk to but these two from Laluna fishing were like from different planet. In the end I said to one of these guys he has no idea how to catch the fish and he said its just bad luck (Ive been fishing all over the world and I always paid locals Who knows their sea and just find the fish.Sometimes small, sometimes big but always at least something AND always are polite and nice because you paying very good money to them.I paid more money in Sri Lanka than I paid in Norway or Florida ). Anyway next day I went fishing with local professional fishermen and I offered 100US to them. We went around 100km, saw hundreds dolphins and caugth around 100kg of tuna fish. Three locals didnt speak english but were very nice, helpfull and funny. You could see on them they are really trying to find the fish and earn your money. That was great experience. So my advice IS stay away from fishing in Laluna and get some local who speaks english to take you to some professional fishermen. You spend less, catch more and its much more adventurous and fun.

This is my second visit to this place and i just love it. Laluna is located in a Lagoon so this is an excellent location for water sports since you are protected from the rough seas. Rates are reasonable and most of the equipment were new and well maintained. They have a restaurant on top of the water sports area that serves excellent Sri Lankan fare.

What are those who have been recently saying about jet ski etc prices?
It seemed a price was made up out of thin air today when we asked and it was 6500rupees for 15mins which I find ridiculous!

Thanks
