About
Welcome to the first Teddy Bear Museum in Korea. Here you will find everything you want to know about Teddy Bears. Teddy Bears have been loved and cherished since they were first introduced over 100 years ago. There are now millions of people who collect Teddy Bears. They seek out old, unique and valuable teddy bears for their personal collections. Our Teddy Bear Museum opened especially for the European collectors. The Teddy Bear Museum is more exciting than ever with "Teddy Bear" entertainment as never seen before. Jeju Teddy Bear Museum opened on April 24, 2001. It contains two galleries, a museum gift shop, and a museum cafe. Also, on site is a museum bar/restaurant, a wonderful place to meet friends, family, and lovers. From the outside garden, there is a view of Jung-Mun Beach.

10,000 KRW per person. When you enter, pay for admission, and start in third floor, go down floors in order. In the basement, theres gift shop, cafe, and theres few more exhibits to see. Perfect for kids, fun for adults. Wish there could be more exhibitions of teddy bears. But if was nice!

It was a lovely museum with so many teddy bears. I liked looking at all the bears in different costumes and the bought a bear for myself to bring home to Australia. Though most people say it is better for families with children, I still think it is enjoyable for people who appreciate cute things or have a love for teddy bears.

I don't understand much and am not interested in understanding teddies.
That said there were 2 interesting bits of this museum:
a) several paintings of teddy bears replicating famous paintings. Think Mona Lisa but you see a Teddy instead of a woman
b) the elvis show. They had teddies representing a band and Elvis and sang and danced some of his greatest hits.
Entrance fee was 10k won but we had a 1k discount from our driver!

We stayed at Seowipo, near to the seogwipo-si (former) intercity bus terminal and took bus 110 from Jungang Rotary bus stop to Jungmun Tourist Complex. The bus journey about 30 minutes and cost less than 2000won one way. The bus driver could provide change if needed. There was a TV screen at the front of the bus that will flash and announce the current and coming stop in english clearly (Although I did not see Jungmun Tourist Complex on the TV screen, therefore I used GPS to locate instead. For my other bus trip, the stops were annoucne correctly and was reliable). You can press the bell to alight. Just to note that the bus ride can be a nausea one as the driver usually travel at a high speed as there were many stops they need to embark on.
The Teddy bear museum is a small two storey museum. The famous personnel, movie and cartoon characters were dressed in bears to make those bears special. You can expected toy bears moving their limps as some bears were mechanically wired. There is also a small outdoor park with some display of bears. There an
Short 5 to 10 minutes elvis show at level 2 theatre. 30 minutes would be sufficient to finish the entire museum. The ground floor has a large souvenir shop where you can purchase teddy bear. A small palm size teddy key chain about SGD$15. A 10” bear cost about SGD$50. As I am not a bear fan, I rated 3 stars as I personally feel that SGD$12.50 for the entrance fee was a little pricy. However, I am sure the teddy bears fan would love this place and rated 4 stars and above.
Anyway, the museum is close too many other attraction that is walking distance (Eg: Cheonjeyeon Falls). If not, you could also take a bus 702 to many other attractions like the Hyeopjae Beach.
If not, you can take bus 782 or 110 back to seogwipo-si (former) intercity bus terminal.

There are 3 levels to the place. All 3 levels showcase bears of different ages and make. Many are modelled after heroes of the present and future, there's Disney bears, Korean culture bears, Moon bears etc. There's even a Steve Jobs bear on level 1 (within the shopping area). There's quite a fair bit of 100+ year old bears and i find these more fascinating than the rest. Sadly, the most crowded place is the shopping area on level 1 where tourist buys all sorts of momento bears.

Jeju has some very interesting museums, they seem to have them about everything from electricity ,to tea to, to robots! Quite quirky here and you'll see Teddy bears dressed up as Michael Jordan to famous re-enactments of history. Spent about 2 hours here just because it seemed interesting and a lot of effort has been put into the place.

I had the luxury of visiting the teddy bear museum today. It was exciting especially the part which shows teddy bear from kdrama goong. But something that has been bugging me as there is one teddy bear with blue cap and shirt which were everywhere literally.. It was exciting trying to look for him/her behind those glass wall. Quite mysterious as well. But what is it actually represent?who is this teddy?

Written 16 September 2017
hi,nice to meet you . at first thank you for the interest of our museum. except for us there are two more teddy bear related attraction(ex: safari) in Jejudo. i can say we are the only teddy bear museum in Jeju .

Are there any other attractions nearby the Teddy Bear Museum? We are not driving and would like to go nearby attraction after this museum. Do we need take a cab or its within walking distance? Thanks.
Written 14 February 2016
When we were in Jeju, we reached the museum by taxi. Obviously having your own vehicle is much easier to visit the different places, but if you go to the teddy bear museum, nearby (at a walking distance) you can find several interesting places to visit.
For example:
1. If you are a Kpop fan there is the Play Kpop Museum
2. Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum (믿거나 말거나 박물관)
3. Also you find some botanical gardens, among them the best Yeomiji Botanical Garden (여미지 식물원).
Hope the information is useful.
Enjoy your time in Jeju.

I visited the museum a couple of times when I visited Jeju and bought teddy bears for my grandchildren and I would like to know if I could order some and have them shipped to Canada or to my son in Deageon? I would like bears similar to the 2 I bought, brown bears with ribbons saying teddy bear museum.
Written 31 October 2015
