    Must-see landform in Jeju
Love this place, definitely a must-see. The cliff of cylindrical blocks are beautiful and the place is well-maintained with a renovation recently. Gentle steps down to the cliff side for the views. Wished there were fresh seafood for sale, the vendor was closed when we were there.

    Lovely place for sunset watch
The columnar rock formation was an amazing sight. Loved to watch the strong waves splashing against the rugged coast. Equally fascinating was the contrast in the smooth roundness of rocks on the beach on the other side of the attraction. I chose to go for the sunset watch and it did not disappoint. The evening glow against the rocks was spectacular. I took bus 520 from Seogwipo which stopped in front of the ICC building (last stop). From there, a walk on normal paved road of about 800m led me to the entrance. A small fee is charged. The attraction is very well-managed and rather compact. I love it that restrooms in Jeju are always clean and available before you enter. There are a lot fewer stairs to climb compared to other natural attractions in Jeju. To note that in winter, it closes at 5:30pm. On the day that I went, the last ticket sold was at 5:05pm.

    Interesting geological structure
The cliffs are made of black lava stone that has crystalized into hexagonal columns. You can find the same at Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland. To go to the observation platform you need to by a ticket (KRW 2.000) but you can get sufficient views without a ticket as well.

    Cliff face
If you can't find car parking outside it will cost you $1,000W to pack which isn't too bad. You then have to buy a ticket if you wish to see the cliff face. I got in free because of celebrations. The platforms are large with great photo opportunities. There are a couple stores selling food and souvenirs. There are toilets as well.

Breath taking views of the cliffs with crashing waves, not to be missed if touring Jeju. Went with small group tour of 4 booked with Klook, guides (Henry and Jin) speak fluent English and have ample time at each attraction.

Pretty dramatic cliffs. Not a big place. You could probably spend half an hour or so here tops. Just a place to witness the power of the sea.

From the bus stop at International Convention Centre, we could take a short cut through an open field with lots of purple flowers. It is about less than 10 mins walk. There is an Olle trail 8 along this route.

The hexagonal columns are formed when the lava from Hallasan Mountain erupted into the sea of Jungmun. A very unique geographical feature. Scenery of the cliff and ocean is also breathtaking and worth a visit. There are ladies selling raw seafood in the park and also a few shops at the entrance. Note that the park closes early about 520 pm in the autumn.

The view at this site is beautiful! During ancient times, lava from the Hallasan volcano flowed to the sea and was rapidly cooled by sea water to form unique polygon shaped columns by a cliff at the edge of the coast. Constant waves crashing against the cliff and the calm of the sea provides a great view on a clear day to warm the soul. The neighboring park around the viewing deck is not big and can be completed to about 30 mins.
