My hanok was right beside the park, the large rounded tombs a clear attraction. One tomb can be entered. It is a pleasant park area.

The entrance price is ₩2000, and for that you get to walk around a well-presented park featuring a number of burial mounds for ancient Silla kings. The information signs are written in both Korean and English and there is a fair amount to see.

There are 30 large and small tombs presumed to be those of Kings and court officials in the early Silla Kingdom.

I found this place interesting. Several old tombs in the traditional Korean style mounds. Some so old that no details remain as to exactly when they were built or who is buried there. There is a good bit of walking required to see it all, so bring comfortable shoes and a water bottle.

Tumulus Park, also having the name Daereungwon Tomb Park. There are 30 large and small tombs ( grass hills) the tombs belonged to kings as their homes in the early Silla Kingdom period from year 57 BC to year 935.

one of the most memorable sights that i visited. these huge tombs are basically everywhere, and it was so big that you might think that they're just "some hills" when they're actually tombs! very very interesting place to visit and have a walk around.. they even have the old music playing! classic.

This is one of the must go place in Gyeongju. Literally old tombs were found almost everywhere around Gyeongju and Daereungwon was actually a fenced up park with multiple tombs inside. The centre piece of the park was obviously the Cheonmachong Tomb located inside this park. The other major attraction were actually two huge mounds believed to be a couple... More

These are rather unusual, large, grass-covered burial chambers from the Silla Dynasty. They are easy to visit if in Gyeongju and are in a park. Entrance is free. You can actually go into one and see the artefacts and the internal structure. The park itself is very pleasant and worth a walk at least. The area is very close to... More
