This is a small compound with the most prominent item being the part of the pagoda (3 levels at the base standing, out of possible 7 or 9 levels based on the width of the base). You can see this as a part of the overall Gyeongju visit but not a whole lot to see in this laid-back temple. You... More

The temple is not as grand as Bulguksa so it is not as crowded as Bulguksa. Still, it is no harm for you to visit if you have extra time in Gyeongju. It is a historical site and the entrance fee is quite cheap.

Bunhwangsa is just 20-30min walk from the museum and shows a beautiful central temple remainder. Next to it is a small buddhist temple which you'll be able to enter - typical very relaxed atmosphere in there.

The pagoda here is nice and the hall that remains has a good statue in it, but, in all honesty, it is not worth the price or the journey. I run a website dedicated to temples and I visited the temple so as to have a complete picture of Gyeongju.

The main temple is impressive and worth the visit if you are in to temples. It is set in a preservation area and the views are amazing.

This temple is famous for the stone pagoda although it only has three of its previous nine stories. The base is pretty big so when it was nine stories it must have been very impressive. I hope the government gets around to restoring it. The temple was established by Queen Seondeok so if you're a Queen Seondeok fan, be sure... More

I was a bit disappointed about Bungwangsa. This temple was small - the pagoda was renovating. Entrance ticket was KRW 3000 - dearer than Anaji Pond.
