The views along the coast are great. The walk is easier, starting from the Oryukdo Skywalk end.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 21 October 2023
- Wandering Eli3 contributionsBeautifulI went to Oryukdo last spring, and it was beautiful. The best time to visit is during spring (March-April) when it's full of flowers! The skywalk is pretty cool. It's good to go when the weather is clear and not too cold because it can be quite windy. But definitely a must-see!Visited March 2023Written 26 February 2024

One can take beautiful photos of the amazing cliffs. You put on booties over your shoes, to prevent scratches to the glass bridge. It is not crowded if you go in the late afternoon, so we had the bridge almost to our tour group only.Visited December 2023Travelled soloWritten 29 March 2024

This was an awesome place for a different view! The water and cliff was stunning and to get there was easy by metro and bus. The weather conditions really depend if the sky walk is open, but still worth seeing it for the view. We went on a windy day, but still amazing!

We arrived here after doing the walk through Igidae Park, and I would say if you are doing the walk then you may as well visit the Oryukdo Skywalk and the rocks. Don’t go out of your way purely to do this though as it can be a pain to get to.
Entry is free which is good.
We took the bus from the stop nearby (number 27 from memory) back to Seomyeon, although there are plenty of other stops on the way at different metro points.

Currently closed due to COVID-19.
Not very much to this place. Just an overlook of the ocean and a few small islands that protect the coast.
Site is free, but there is a small fee for parking. Depending on where you park either means a lot of stairs or a few.
You only need about 15-30 min to enjoy the site and take yours pics. #killcovidculture #nonewnormal

The Skywalk is a bridge-like structure that juts out from an observation deck-like plaza into the sea. The jutting part is about 10m. It's quite different from the Mishima Skywalk in Shizuoka Prefecture, even though it's the same Skywalk. The floor is entirely made of glass. The rule is to cover your shoes with cloth covers. Is this to avoid scratching the glass floor and to save the trouble of mopping it? Or is it to prevent slipping? I'm afraid of heights, so I can't enjoy the ocean that can be seen from the glass floor while walking. I'm too scared to move forward while looking at my feet. If I walk straight ahead, my fear is alleviated. When I arrive at the tip with fear, a wonderful sea view spreads out before my eyes. If the wind is strong, the tip shakes. There's no doubt that my fear will reach its maximum.

There was slight rain when we visited so the skywalk was closed. From the pictures that I've seen, I thought it would be a big walkway, but in reality, it was very small and you need to hike up a little hill to get there. Do not go when it rains as it will be closed.

In the past it must have been a sensation. Because it is a glass walkway on the cliff. It juts out into the middle of the sea and is only 35 meters long. You have to wear bags and shoes to protect the soles from scratches. It's not scary. Currently, there are many places That's more frightening than this. The surrounding atmosphere is good. There are flower gardens and the weather is cool.

There is not much to see, the skywalk is very short and there is nothing else around to do or see. It took me only 10 minutes in this place and I am done. Only one cafeteria is there selling drinks (frozen ice cube that you mix with some drinks in pouches). Cafeteria does not make the drinks for you. It’s more like a mini market. Entrance to Oryukdo is free and they provide cover for your shoes.

We took a cab from the temple. You can take a local bus but cab is faster.
If you have 2 to 4 pax take the cab as we do not want spend time traveling by bus. Each place we visited about 10 to 35 minutes by car from downtown lotte hotel area. So by train or bus be further. Also we reckon we still need to walk from stops to the site so we opt for cab.
You can also go for the local tour bus. There r different routes. You can google then find the route u like
We did notice s local bus station nearby.

You can take a train or a bus other than flight. We met a group of tourists that came to busan by train. 2.5 to 3 hours.
Depending on your schedule, spend 2 days and a night to see some sights but longer if you want see more.
Hope this help.

Walk 13 minutes or take Metro to Kyungsung University Entrance. Take bus 131 or 24 to Oryukdo Skywalk. The bus stops at the roundabout near the skywalk.

Is it good to go to the skywalk in winter ( Dec ) ?
Written 21 May 2018
You just check weather forecast in advance. If no raining the location will open it. Or you can check the visitor center. I go to winter at Jan no problem. They also provide visitor the Shoes cover.

About 10-15 minutes' slow walk from bus stop to skywalk.

If i need to chose from oryukdo skywalk and taejongdae which one do you prefer?
Written 8 May 2017
Agree. At Taejongdae there is also a lighthouse which you can climb and see all around. Take that little train car to get in though instead of walking. The sky walkway is rather small also.
However if you use the trolley bus, you can easily cover both.
